okay swashy....your turn. heehee! name that movie!
...pretty please.

hey Maureen,
i finally got to see A Man's Castle, but the funny thing is, grandmama DID have a copy of it in her library, but it was lost and i had to go look for it. she recorded it and thought it looked familiar, so i went digging for it through all her tapes and found it in the oddest place. heehee!
anyway, i absolutely looooooooooooved the movie. i ended up crying at the end. it doesnt seem like the kind of movie one would cry to, but i did. heehee! i just loved how it ended in the train. so cute and romantic! i was about to yell at spencer if he really didnt stay with her.

i also loooved the dresses in this movie. they might have seemed like tattered old rags to loretta, but i thought they were the cutest little 30s dresses.
-
hello shashy!!
why do you do this to me? you post those beautiful pics of loretta and expect us to answer what we think the movie is. honestly! heehee!
you had me thinking really hard on it, and i had guessed The Doctor Takes a Wife, until the cat was outta the bag. heehee!
i completely forgot about Love is News. i hate when i do that! poor loretta! ill never do it again loretta. i promise.

*1. No Country for Old Men*
*2. Blood Simple*
*3. Fargo*
*4. Barton Fink*
*5. Raising Arizona*
*6. Miller's Crossing*
*7. The Man Who Wasn't There*
*8. O' Brother, Where Art Thou?*
frankie, youre not gonna believe this, but i can vouch for that list....sort of. my parents love most of those movies so i was raised watching some of them. i actually want to go see Burn After Reading, coming out soon with the funny Fargo sherriff in it. Sarah wants to take me. oy!

Raising Arizona is another funny 80s movie, and O' Brother Where Art Thou is a pretty good one....i cant say the same for No Country For Old Men. yucky. heehee! some people ust prefer bloodiness over romance....why? how should i know? theyre weird to me. heehee!

why didnt you finishe your sentence? what about being at my age now? heehee! dont try to change the subject either.

Lakehouse is Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock. its an intense chick flick with one of them being one or two years into the future and the other one or two years back and they are in the same glass lake house at the same time. its very different but very good!
justthe thing to watch with a glass......i measn a sip of champagne. heehee!
i like watching most pre-codes with this drink too. very soothing......of course while sipping.

hey jeff! i never saw this thread. brilliant!
i dont drink champagne excessively of course, but i get a sip every now and then from my parents and we usually watch heavy chick flicks with that drink..
like sometimes ill pursuade them to watch Ninotchka, or An Affair to Remember, or Mrs. Parkington with it. and then when they get their way, we usually watch Sleepless in Seattle, or Lakehouse.

*Most Harry Potter movies I won't watch until they're on DVD. But I do remember that when Superman Returns was shown in IMAX, they had only selected scenes in 3-D.*
im not too much of a fan of Harry Potter myself, i just like looking at Daniel and they are cute movies. i had to read the books in mid school when they first came out. i never got to see Superman Returns in 3-D.. why did they only show parts in 3-D? thats odd.

oh jackie!! perfect picture of miss impassive! you are brillaint, where did you find that in the first place?

well at the IMAX theater i was in, they showed the whole movie in 3-D. i dont know if other theaters only showed certain scenes in 3-D. i thoroughly enjoyed seeing Daniel Radcliffe in 3-D personally. heehee!
did you get to se only certain scenes, or did you not get to see it on 3-D?
