butterscotchgreer replied to ForeverGarland's topic in Your Favorites
goodness! i was so focused on watching gree today, i forgot to check all the thread a lot, and see this wonderful one! thanks FG, you are too sweet to post those! i dont think my greer ever went through an ugly stage of her life....she was just way too beautiful. she was gorgeous until the day she died and i hope ill be able to do that too...i wish i was as beautiful as she was. im even missing a lot of the Olympics today just for greer today. right now im flipping back and forth between greer and women's gymnastics though. heehee! i couldnt miss my gymnastics, but i cant miss greer either, so im watching both at once. heehee! thanks again FG. -

good morning mister L-7-square-wimpie. heehee! *Do you know what today/tomorrow is?* yes, and i had TCM on all night so it could wake me up in the morning. heehee! i woke up to the middle of That Forsythe Woman and i have been trying to wakever since. heehee! its too early for me. but im fully awake now that im watching your favorite greer movie right now...it has to do with an ocean. heehee! im so excited i get to watch greer all day! *Innocent? She was a thief!* oh minor detail, she was still murdered! *A sneaky dame in long black gloves who likes trashy movies, that's who.* wow! i dont think i want to meet her. heehee! *The girl mitten ripped the heart out of the boy mitten and tossed it into the ocean, where it sank to the bottom. That's not love!* let's not exaggerate things frankie. the girl mitten had to leave across the ocean b.c she knew that as the only way to be together later with her true love.....SIGHS! it just had to happen, dont you see? *Oh, I'm shivering. But at least it's only during the night. The worst kind of cold is the all-day ice of...* now dont you dare say a manhattan blizzard, april hasnt used her power on you in days, especially not without my knowledge. we are a team! which reminds me......april, we need to whip out the couldron and the chocolate! I *enjoy seeing the competition. I root for the Americans, but I respect the talent of all. The Chinese gymnasts are exceptional.* dont i know it, the Chinese won the Gold last night in the men all-around individual. i really wanted johnathan to win, but he just wasnt on top of his game last night. the Chinese were doing great though! *Moonbeam!* *The porch swing. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh...* hey, i love my porch swing! -

*No, I've experienced that quite a few times.* now who would do such a horrible thing to you gentleman! *Random Harvest? That's the film where a psychotic serial killer gets away with murder. I can't believe the Code allowed such an ending.* at least my movies dont have psycho maniacs going around killing innocent girls in showers! *I didn't throw the mittens out. The female mitten put an ocean between the man one, so I had to get another female mitten. Thankfully, this female mitten loves the male mitten. She doesn't wish to rip out his heart.* dont give me any excuses! and if your mittens loved each other than why did you throw them away!? you broke both of their hearts....and mine! *I always cry when you lock me out in the cold. It really hurts when I hear you laughing in the warmth.* i thought that would make you feel better though. heehee! at least you arent shivering. *It wasn't just Michael who did well.* you dont think i knew that!! honestly frankie, come now. i have many favorites in swimming, and in the relays as a tram too. its all about team work in the Olympics.......but it doesnt hurt to cheer for your favorites.....holy joe! *Their floors are full of personality and pizazz. They have such great energy.* China does a great job in training their gymnasts to have great energy and it is so awesome to watch them go out there and do their best...i love seeing each country do their own thing to their best! The Olympics stand for unity and thats what i love seeing! *You should try it without the porch light. I bet Shawn does.* i have actually tried it without the porch light on a few times with only the light from the moon to guide me, but i felt really uncpmfprtable doing it and felt it was unsafe, so i started putting the porch light on.....then when i would get too tired i would go sit on my porch swing and catch my breath. heehee! -

*I've never heard.* uh-huh, and i bet youve never been thrown out into the snow before either. heehee! *Pathetic? Not at all. The ending to Raw Deal is quite chivalrous.* well i didnt mind the ending to Raw Deal i must say, but it isnt Random Harvest if you no what i mean. *Oh, yes! I just love how you always mention Grace Kelly as being the best part of High Noon. You are right, too.* you are so dillusional its not even funny. heehee! *You've actually been warm of late, so I can't complain about you. Then there is...* thats because i chose to wear my long black gloves to keep me warn unlike some people who choose to throw out hand made mittens! *You cry? Really? This is surprising. The U.S. men put on a swimming show.* at least i admit it! noone should be afraid to cry! it makes everyone feel better. and you can cry when you are extremely happy also, to show your emotion of just how much you ARE happy! and reality check....michael phelps always knows how to put on a show, but i dont think he shows off, he just has a big goal in life and he wanted to accomplish it, so he did b/c he really wanted to. i admire him most for doing this! he doesnt brag about it either and is a total sweetie from what i have seen and heard. *The Chinese girls were awesome. Their floor routines are jazzy. I liked them a lot.* the Chinese are famous in gymnastics for jazzing it up, especially in fun routines on the floor. i hsve to agree that they worked hard for their gold and they deserved it for doing so. *In the dark? I knew you were good, but that good? Shawn Johnson who?* i have a porch light ya know. heehee! goodness! would you really expect anyone to try doing a routin on the beam in the dark? holy bananas, that would be really dumb if i fell in the dark and noone could see me to help me. sometimes i do my gymnastics in the dark, but i always have my nifty and very bright porch light on to guide me so i can see where im stepping. would you stop refering to poor shawn as a ghost? i know just how she feels! -

hey, frankiesweetfurter! *I'm used to the heat because I've been told to "go there" quite a bit. I'm even more used to the icy cold because of locked doors and blizzards.* yeah you seem to wanna "go there" a lot. does the saying, "go to the devil!" mean anything to you? heehee! *Okay, so the ride is a short one* just a short one? a little more pathetic than that too. *All right, I won't spoil your day. I will explain Greer and Coop's trashiness another day.* i cant wait....literally. *But I talk about them.* at least i talk good about your favorites.... *Whose pants are on fire now?* theyre just smoking a little bit. i put them out already, its your pants im worried about. dont you feel cold? and it isnt because we locked you out in the snow. *Jason was spot on.* he isnt that bad looking either. heehee! he really is one of the best the team has right now. *He has lived up to the hype and then some.* oh yeah! but he was kind of dissappointed when he got his 10th medal because his glasses filled up with water during the race and he went slower because of it, even though he won. he was aiming at breaking the world record in that race more so. but on his 11th medal it was all in the bag apparently, and the whole team did termendously! im watching them on the podium right now and feel like crying! heehee! *I just watched her floor. She was good except for an early mistake.* it was pretty close to being perfect except for that mistake. her beam earlier was spot on and flawless! i love watching her on the beam. its her best event by far! they just won the silver though!! im so happy for them, but i think they could have won the gold if alicia could have had a better day, but she couldnt really control that. she was just really nervous... i really dont blame her at all, b/c it is a team thing, and she still did really good. china took the gold.....again. now for the individual all-around competition!! i cant wait!! go shawn go! yay!!! i feel like going back out on my beam in the backyard and playing some more ...im not tired at all and am too excited! heehee! -

*Get used to them? My neck is constantly red because of them.* well its better than burning to death. heehee! *That's what happens in Raw Deal!* havent you already noticed, that your version of riding off into the sunset and my version of riding off into the sunset in movies are completely different by now? honestly frankie! *Look at the movies they make. They teach horrible lessons.* like what? the lessons are always wonderful....they teach you to have a high self-confidence and to never loose hope and that love is wonderful! hey, dont spoil my day! heehee! *i suggest trying to be nice to me. Especially since I talk about Greer Garson, Gary Cooper, and John Ford movies.* yeah you talk badly about them....shall i look up your replies on them? *No, you'd rather be violent yourself.* you know me, i'd never do such a horrid thing...heehee! *I actually watched some of this. Justin Spring did very well.* oh yes, he's one of my favorites! Jason is my favorite on the team actually. the guy in the bottom right corner is actually my favorite this year. he always stuck his dismounts and was perfect in his floor rountines almost! i just watched maichael phelps win his 11th gold medal!! im so happy and jumping up and down right now! he is now officially the most decorated olympian swimmer! im watching Shawn and Nastia try to beat the Chinese in gymnastics right now. Shawn has been having another good night and i hope she stays that way. the team cant afford any major mistakes right now and hopefully we are on our way to reaching the gold medal! *Shawn who?* what do you mean, Shawn who? honestly frankie! this shawn johnson! my shawn johnson, who just happens to be one of the best gymnasts in the world at this moment! im watching Alicia Sacramone do her beam routine and she started out not very good, but she always makes up for it! are you watching it? -

Japan won silver. im still really excited! they were all jmping up and down and i was with them and cheering them on! yay!!! ill have to post a pic of all of them on the podium tomorrow for your torture. heehee! now for the women's team gymnastics, i especially eagerly await.....GO SHAWN!! heehee! -

*bonsoir, petite ButterS, flambeau de la gentillesse* merci beaucoup!! *Well, since you are tres gentille, "and just hate torturing frankie" maybe you should let "meaniehead" off the hook this time. (We pirates invented that expression BTW)* youre right, maybe i should let him off the hook, i mean he's only a meanie! heehee! oh you know im kidding frankie darlin'. *He's not so bad...for a Cowboy fan. And, after all, he (C'boys) got whupped last weekend and that's a pretty good surprise attack right there! Whaddya say?* hey, lucky(star)dan is also a cowboy fan. i guess he's not so bad either. heehee! i was never a real big football fan, but i knew someone who used to be on the cowboy team, so i cant really make too much fun of them. heehee! but it did make for a pretty good surprise attack if i must say so. do you think he;s scared out of his witz yet, laffite? *Or do you want me to consult the Pirate Dirty Trick Getting Even Better-Watch-Out Handbook and see if there's a chapter on surprise attacks.* i think we should get out the book. maybe they might have something about long black gloves in it. heehee! *ps Poor Frank...in the eye of the storm* you know how the cowboys defeat was your surprise attack for frankie?.......well this is mine. heehee! muwahahahaha! -

*Well, maybe if you didn't slash this abominable snowman's pants with your sword, there wouldn't be all those holes.* i dont have swords silly! i have long black gloves, get used to them. heehee! the most i can do to you is melt the snow around your neck from trying to strangle you. you got all those holes from lying like pinocchio! *Raw Deal IS a "chick flick." It features two chicks.* that doesnt make it a chick flick frankie! my goodness! what makes it a good chick flick is when a man and woman in a movie fight a little, but then fall deeply in love and end up riding into the sunset! dont talk bto me frankie, i know what im talking about! heehee! *Helen is not trashy. She's classy. You can't get much trashier than Greer and Gary.* i would NEVER say helen was trashy!! heloen is the only classy actress out today who isnt trashy. how is gary or greer trashy? im just not seein' it....explain yourself. *You should be blushing. You should try being too nice for a change.* honestly! thats not funny! okay im giggling, but its really not funny! APRIL!! what are we to do with him?! *She's a cutie!* i know, she's such a cute little girl! *Such violence and language! Mama Butterscotch is rubbing off!* hey, just because my momma likes violent movies full of goriness, doesnt mean i like them...i simply enjoy an occasional martial arts movie with jackie, bruce, jet, cynthia or michelle....without all the goriness of course. yucky! i mean at least jackie puts a little comedy into his martial arts and his movies are cute. you know michelle yeoh practically gave women a whole new name with her martial arts. jackie chan respected her so much, he allowed her to do her own stunts in all of his movies. you know he did all his stunts as well. i just love that! -

And the Chinese water torture is supposed to be bad, heh heh.* yeah, but i just hate torturing frankie, even if he IS a meaniehead! heehee! okay, so how shall ye help moi with the surprise attack?! we shall triumph!! like me and april, one of these days we WILL triumph! -

*Why? How many do you have?* im looking around the whole board, but i can only see one.....his pants have way too many holes in them. poor baby, he might freeze to death if he doesnt change them soon. *It's a loverly feeling, I'm sure.* HA! come one, RAW DEAL? honestly frankie, you need to take up chick flick watching once in a while, greer would be so proud of you. *You already do that. Your trashy tastes floor me.* what is it with you and my trashy tastes? holy joe! my "trashy tastes", as you so eloquently put it are good for everyone. come on, you know you like greer and gary!....you already admitted to liking helen,,,,,somewhat, and thats progress right there! *You're always looking to attack. Don't you think it would be nicer if you just showered me with kindness, just as I do to you, BitterSourGreer.* you didnt see me do this....heehee! see! now im blushing! i dont really know who this is. heehee! i just found it and thought it was cute. *Is that Michelle or Kung-Fu T? I better be careful.* no, this video is michelle and me together....actually its cynthia rockroth and michelle together. heehee!.....they are the two BEST female martial artists ever! i wish they did more movies together. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0JCJ_8AQbRw forgive cynthis'a language. bad cynthia! heehee! so you better watch yourself honey boy! *I'm so sorry about that! If you need to talk you can always call me. We'll try to cheer you* *here in the meantime. So let's spend some mean time on Frank.* its okay, im quite better now. but i just had a really bad day! people were being mean to me all over the place and actual random imployees were coming up to me verbally abusing me. it was just terrible. ill call you........we shall have to plan how to take care of the mean one. heehee! *I haven't seen The Iron Petticoat yet!! I've heard about it and I just cannot imagine Bob* *Hope and Kate together! Great choice for the list.* i cant see the pic you posted. it is a red "x". i love this cutesie movie and so does grandmama but i always wondered what ever made these people decide to pair kate with bob. heehee! -

*Those are good choices, too, Tea! By the way, how many cups have you had? I'm on my* *third...* last night i was on my fifth. heehee! today im on my fourth, but thats because im really depressed. today took the cake for all the worst days at the hyatt. im surprised my eyes arent puffy and bloodshot from crying most of the day. *I would add Clark Gable and Jeannette MacDonald in San Francisco to our list of "odd* *couples", and what about Shelly Winters and Jimmy Stewart in Winchester '73? I don't* *easily picture them together but I like them in this movie, even if they never really share a love* *scene.* i agree with both of those. i love those movies, but you wouldnt suspect them together in real life or in any other movies but those. i especially like jeanette macdonald and clark gable together. i still cant really see jimmy with shelley, but i like the movie. heehee! *As long as we are mentioning Italian actresses, Burt Lancaster and Anna Magnani in The Rose* *Tattoo.* i didnt epsecially like the Rose Tatoo. it just never jumped out at me as a great movie, although i must say that i think it is worth seeing a couple times and has some very good love scenes. *Kate Hepburn and Bogie in The African Queen!* you know, since i grew up loving The African Queen with grandmama, i never thought of them being an odd couple. but as i saw more movies of them with other people i began to realize that they were paired with much more suitable people for their movies. but i will always love.. "nature, mr. allnut, is what we were put in this world to rise above." from kate! heehee! how about bob hope and katharine hepburn in The Iron Petticoat? that was a cute movie, but odd casting. but the comic talent with the both of them was beautiful! -

*Besides Duke & Sophia and Duke and Kate, how about Jimmy Stewart and Marlene* *Dietrich in Destry Rides Again?* heehee! i so agree with jimmy and marlene! they are an unusual couple. marlene belonged to someone more on the naughty side. okay even though i absolutely love and adore Funny Face, i always found freddy astaire and audrey hepburn a rather odd couple, as well as audrey and bogie, but i still love them to death together in those movies. -
