*I would love some of Grandmama's brownies---but only if the calories are purely imaginary.*
oh nothing but the best, with imaginary calories....actually grandma is on a diet right now and she is experimenting with every possible dessert with the fewest calories and no sugar that taste relatively good. heehee! so no worries big sis!
im on my third cuppa forthe night. i simply cant go through a night without my heavenly tea and a good appy movie to go with it.....im watching Pal Joey right now. heehee!
...and singing your favorite song by the way.look who wants to join our little tea party!

hey april dahlink!!!
i love those sophia pics!!!
i especially loved her in Houseboat and Arabesque. i also loved her in Man of La Mancha, and just love singing to tghe songs in it even though they are used to being sung by a man. heehee!

*Hello dahlink! I am on my fourth cuppa. I'm drinking green tea right now. You know, to "detox".*
mmmm....sounds great!!! im drinking Irish green tea right now.
would you like some brownies? grandmama made some and i have lots to share!

*Let's play nice? You're the one has called me a "filthy beast" and a "wretched creature." Meanwhile, Darling Bronxie called me a "buttercup" and Classy Jackie said I was a "gent." But I shouldn't expect anything less from a girl who likes Greer Garson and Jane Austen. Those two ladies teach young girls to be mean to guys.*
i used to think you were a perfect gentleman too if you recall.would you like for me to pull up all the PMs where i started the letter off as, "hey sweetie pie frankiefurter!!" does this escape your mind? and then you became the sweet meanie sybil, who couldnt make up his mind how he wanted to act around me. honestly! i know there is gallantry somewhere in there, deep down, we girls just have to find it and bring it to the surface. heehee!
*Dost knoweth you are not the ones getting murdered around here, it's me-eth, and it's because you keep killing me-eth.*
yes darling-eth, but you are the one picking on me all the time! its because im the baby isnt it? DESCRIMINATION! heehee! couldnt resist that.
but you know i dont mean it frankie. -
*Pourquoi sont vous en portant vos longs gants noirs?*
juste au cas ou`. (ricaner)
-
*If he was the ONLY one who liked me I would consider myself rich in friends.*
*As it stands today, you are stinkin' rich with enemies.*
now now you filtyh beast, let's play nice.
i think it is the other way around, we arent the ones who keep getting murdered around here. dost thou comprehend thy words of wisdom?

-
your welcome dahlink!!
*I like his voice in both periods. He sounded so pure and lushly romantic in his youth--it's incredible how the quality of a human voice can inspire a certain mood. I also love the arrangements Axel Stordahl (sp?) made for him, especially at Capitol, in those years and beyond.*
i have noticed that with certain singers too. thats one of the things that attracts me to them and their voices. frankie is one who put a majoy mood in my mind the first time i heard him sing a song. i dont remember how old i was, but i was smaller and when i saw one of his musicals i sunk to the floor just enjoying it. he makes you wanna have an other hot cuppa tea! im on the fifth. heehee! which one are you on? from that time on, i wouldnt go to bed unless frankie would sing me to sleep, or my momma. i would take either one. heehee! well now i cant have frankie sing me to sleep, b/c he gets me to excited! that is unless he sings that lullabye and then im out of it. it is so soothing to me!
*In his later phase I like that he compensated for a less technically perfect vocal with greater personal intimacy with the lyrics. You could feel he experienced each situation the song describes and meant every word---in other words, he had lived, lived, lived.*
he did seem to extract a great deal of personality when he sang in his older years. you could always see the emotion just pouring out of those blue eyes he sang even one lyric. thats how i could tell that he meant every word in those songs, by watching his eyes closely, and then of course fall to the floor. it is sort of impossible to remain standing when watching frankie sing ya know? heehee!

*Vous essayez de m'adoucir en haut pour que vous puissiez m'?trangler avec vos longs gants noirs. Merci!*
je n'acheterais vous etranglez!! vos imagination debridee!! je vous en prie!

*Yes, you are more like "Willie," Miss Live in the Country Yet Doesn't Like Getting Her Precious Little Hands Dirty. I'd say Sweet T is also more like Willie but Kimmy Kurtains is more like Karen Allen's "Marion."*
would you care to repeat that monkey boy? heehee!
and how exactly am i like Willie? would you please explain yourself? i always have my puppy dog eyes on you, so you better watch your answer!
*You are the biggest sneak around, Sneaky T. Do you want me to help save Jackie from the wretched creature, too?*
that is soooooo mean! see what this CREATURE is capable of doing? he's calling little ol' me, Willie, a creature! i have a tear!
*You are soooooooooooooooooo shallow!*
who's shallow?!! who's the one watching Zodiac with his brother and enjoying all the blood and gore? not me. who's the one who loves posting pics of No Country for Old Men and making a certain girl pass out? not me!
*Did you like the movie, or doesn't that count? Oh, for goodness sake, look who I'm asking. I know it doesn't count with you because you actually like Gary Cooper and Greer Garson flicks. Talk about wretched creatures*
yes i liked the movie fly boy. goodness! it was a really good, but there were some really gross parts i would have left out, but thats just me.

i just loved how it ended though. heehee! anyone who's seen it, probably knows why.

just because i like gary and greer movies, doesnt make me a wretched creature just to let you know. i should say that wretched creatures watch girls who act with no expression on their faces.

*I don't have that ChillerNetwork, dahlink, unfortunately. I guess TimeWarner in NYC doesn't carry it.*
okay, i will try to record some for ya!
*I prefer Frank in the mid 1950s all through the 1960s. I love how he looks in those 15 years.*
*There is a sadness and gravitas underneath all his other emotions at all time that is lacking*
*in his youth (for good or bad---some, like you, Tee, prefer him perkier and younger).*
well one of the other reasons i loved him so much in his skinny dugen days is because his voice was also a lot more crisp and clear than it was when he got older. i mean you can tell all the smoking and drinking and partying took affect on him and his voice, although he aged enormously well for a party guy back then. errol flynn and some of those didnt age quite as well as frankie did.
but hye was just too cute for words in On the Town and Anchors Aweigh in those little sailor outfits!!! i also loved the way he looked in The Manchurian Candidate and a Hole in the Head and From Here to Eternity and a few others in his middle years.
-
thnaks for that ALice White picture! i love that one!!
i have been looking everywhere for The Clairvoyant! i would love to see that so badly, but havent come across it yet.
-
jackie run as fast as you can!!
*You are sneaky.*~ whenever frankie says that, it means trouble!!
dont worry, me and april are here for you! we'll save you from the wreched creature! heehee!
*Didja catch the Indiana Jones film???*
i went to go see it too!! i was so excited, b/c i love the trilogy.....plus shia labeouf was in it....blow me down!! what a cutie! he wasnt the cutest child in the world, but he is blossoming into a rather handsome cutie! phew!
holy joe! take a look at that smile!

hey maureen!!
i watched frankie all night when they were of course! thats cute that you like frankie with a fuller face and more meat on his bones...i personally always loved his skinny little body in Anchors Aweigh. heehee! no one picks on my frankie's body!.....no wisecracks from the peanut gallery...i mean you frankie! heehee!

*Hi Theresa, Wow, another Frankie fan joined the group, and she knows you. How nice the she posted photos of our guy. I am still going thru my FS tapes, and tonight I watched an A & E biography that was shown three weeks after Frank died. It was interesting because Frank made comments throughout. The program included clips from Frank`s 1950`s and 1960`s TV specials. Frank sitting at a bar singing "One for My Baby", a duet with Elvis Frank singing "love Me Tender and Elvis singing "Witchcraft", and Frankie singing to an adoring Juliet Prowse. An interesting clip was Frank and Gene Kelly rehearsing for "Ole Blue Eyes Is Back".I do not receive the biography channel anymore, but it is still on the air.*
hey maureen!! how loverly, i get to chat with you too!
i remember seeing that A&E special a long time ago, but i never did record it! banana oil! heehee! would you mind possibly copying that for me maureen? pretty please if it isnt too much trouble? i copied the frankie special with gene for you and its all ready to go.
