*No one could have said it better!* well she did have a way with words didnt she? especially to her own son. tsk, tsk, tsk, i guess we still love her. heehee! *It always cheers me up, "That Girl." I love her daddy, "Lou Marie"! He's such a sweetheart!* *Look! They're inviting us to tea!* her daddy was quite the cutie. every time i see the momma in "That Girl", she always seems so familiar to me, and i can never quite get where i have seen her from, but one day it suddenly hit me.......she was the mom in On Moonlight bay/ By The Ligt of the Silvery Moon, and in Many Rivers to Cross. i know she was in a lot more i have seen too. i thought she was the cutest!!!!! now i just love little miss rosemary! i love that name. its suits her perfectly, to a tea! -

*That's Eleanor Audley, she always played the best snooty* *society ladies or mothers-in-law. What terrific actress she was.* yes, i just love eleanor!! snootiness was so becoming to her complection dont you think dahlink? heehee! *She also played the woman who ran the PTA in "The Dick Van Dyke* *Show" and was always tricking Rob into putting on a free show for them.* heehee! i remember seeing that, but completely forgot it is the same woman! *Here's another nice mom, who was very pretty as a young actress and*] *matured handsomely:* *Rosemary DeCamp, from "That Girl"* another great TV mother! i love "That Girl". that was such a cute girl, and i wish they would make shows more like this. it was so imaginatively done and it deserves more credit! -

what about oliver's momma? heehee! i think she was the voice of the evil queen in Sleeping Beauty too, but she was cute even though she was a wee bit on the annoying side. seemed to feel so sorry for "poor lisa darling", b/c her own son dragged her out to the middle of nowhere. but she was still cute. -

bonjour dahlink!!! i know, i know, endora was ironically enough my favorite comedic character when i was really little, and then i came across lucy. heehee! i love those episodes you were talking about with endora and her husband. they are too funny. i can never drink my hot tea when watching endora, b/c i always end up spitting it out. heehee! i think "down to earth" just about covers her personality and perspective on life itself, yes.... among other things. heehee! *I have the caramel if you have the peanuts...now who's going to provide the necessary Elephants to eat him up?* i have the peanuts all ready...standing by just waiting to be poured over him and the caramel....now all we have to do is convince the Duke in Hatari to borrow some of those ephalents, and im surely if we give him puppy dog eyes, he'll let us. heehee! here's our down to earth redhead. isnt she so cute? heehee! -

bonjour, mr. ostentatious! *Ohh, I see, Clarissa preferred Louise to marry Paul, not Mary. That does make sense! Louise was much sweeter and kinder than Mary. Clarissa was a great mother!* no no no!!! dont you see, will you EVER see?!!! heehee! clarisse knew paul would have left the mill, left his family for mary and gone wherever they wanted to for thir honeymoon and defied his father, and so did mary. thats one of the reasons mary left with connie on her honeymoon to london silly goose. clarisse also loved mary as another daughter and she did that only because she knew it was the best thing for both mary and paul. its complicated, but at least i know what im talking about. i wish you did! heehee! *Louise SCOTT should also be on your favorite mom list. You won't find a more loving mother than her.* yeah, its too bad she seems to be related to you, scotty boy. heehee! louise is the last mother i would have on my list. i wouldnt even consider her a mother. i told you, she only wanted paul's money, but she just happened to have a child, so she kind of had to act like a mother, although goodness knows she didnt enjoy it. the traitor! heehee! *I have never heard of such backwards thinking in my life as drowning the heart of your love in an ocean only to come back and wreck a perfectly good marriage. What happened to the sanctity of marriage? Love should never be drowned on purpose. How cruel! Poor Paul.* i never talk backwards. okay maybe sometimes, but never about my movies! so there! heehee! you just have to understand this certain situation (and dont you dare even think about saying, that im being mean about the situation. heehee). love is an extraordinary thing that even the most highly intelligent person on earth couldnt explain, so i, being anaive teenager, most certainly couldnt do it.......hmmmm, maybe if greer were alive, she could knock some sense into you. heehee! *You don't think I'm the kind of guy who would trick you, do ya?* okay now that is definitely a trick question below the other trick question. heehee! yes i believe you are that kind of guy. so mean! *Now I know why you love to drown me. You learned it from Mary Rafferty and Clarissa Scott.* they would never do such a thing. unlike a certain flyboy around here, they are kind and considerate and loving. -
*Yes, it's more of a "FrankGrimes" or "ChiO" kind of movie than Theresa or April*. im starting to realize that. heehee! they are the kind ofmen who love to watch horrid psychopaths trying to ruin people's lives and go around killing other people......such lovely men. heehee!
-
yes, you found the right pic once again. heehee! i love the "two generations of suspenders". so adorable! they bear a strong resemblance dont ya think?
-
i know i love that picture!! heehee! you know i agree with you. i was so disappointed when i saw Beware, My Lovely. that was such a weird movie, and i think thats a once in a year kind of movie. it just wasnt the romantic movie i thought it would be. i wanted there to be more romance, more kissing, less psychopath stuff. heehee!
-
*You mean this one with director Otto Preminger? I think it's a great picture too!* yup! thats the one dahlink! great work! i think gary should have made some movies with frankie. especially in the early forties when frankie was really young and extra skinny. heehee!
-
oooooooooooooooooooooooooooh! i love that one with frankie kissing kate! how cute!!! im printing this one! heehee! oh that silly red x! okay look up "gary cooper+frank sinatra" on goold images. it has the view images watermark on it again. its right next to the other one with frankie dressed as the indian.
-
it has the viewimages watermark on it. he is sitting down looking adorable in his suspenders.
-
with our robby baby!!! notthe nicest pic, but he's still cute!
-
thanks april for that interesting article! i love reading it! *I know what you mean about Ida's more "low key" roles, I prefer them too. Like her blind girl in On Dangerous Ground with our Robby Baby (who says "Hi" back at you by the way. ). I also love her in Road House in which she plays a singer who acts tough but on the inside is all mushy and rather sweet. I especially love how upset she gets when Celeste Holme unexpectedly joins her and Cornel Wilde on their little picnic. Ha! I wish they would put this movie out on dvd.* i love ida in "low key" roles. she is much sweeter that way and more lovely in her performances. i dont like her more serious ones as much as her more mushy romantic shy roles. heehee! im with you, i vote for it to be released! i would love to see this remastered and all beautifully spified up!
-
*Even their names are similar..."Snuffy" and "Muffy"....maybe his name in real life was "Fluffy" and they had to use a name that sounded similar when they called to him.* we'll have to find out what that dog's name is, its going to bother me now. heehee! *I LOVE how he runs into Frankie's dresser drawer and goes to sleep.* i love that scene...so sweet! *Frank gave Marilyn a little doggie as a pet once, I thought that was so touching*. frankie was always so generous and thoughtful. thats one of the things i love about him!
-
*No, and I'm burning with curiosity!* look up "john wayne+stagecoach" up on google images. youll fin it in there. *I watched about 5 minutes of it, too, and I just love seeing all the lads in uniform! It's also one of the few times when Susie seems to relax a little around her leading man. John Wayne sure knew how to handle ladies in "heavy weather"!* well thats reality check for ya. the duke always knew how to handle his leading ladies. heehee! they always seem to be comfortalbe when being around him in their scenes. it certainly looked like "heavy romance" to me. heehee!
-
here's another one, but gary doesnt look at his best in it. unfortunately.
-
thats the exact picture that entered my mind when i posted that sentence.
-
*Scene from PAL JOEY. Frank and Kim and "Snuffy". I kept wondering if this was the same dog who played "Muffy" in Anatomy of a Murder?* i love that picture! heehee! thats so funny about the doggy. it does look like the same one! thats so hilarious. i wonder.....
-
can you see it now? he was so sweet in the movie, and so young and cute too. heehee! i can say "adorable" a million times over! the Long Voyage Home was a great movie too. i havent seen it in a while, but i should pop it in the DVD player and watch it again huh? heehee! this morning on AMC i watched him and susie hayward in The Fighting of the Seabees. thats a really good movie. all those guys in uniform. sighs! thats scene where the duke grabs her on the boat and kisses her in the wind is one of my favorite parts. heehee!

*I always thought Judy Garland had the prettiest legs!* you know i have had more comments for her legs from my family when im watching one of her movies and i agree. no matter how old she got, or whatever happened, her legs always stayed so pretty.
