bonjour mignonne!! bushrod was in Knights of the Round Table and D-Day the Sixth of June with dana wynter. but dana has only a small part in that and isnt credited. ava gardner is the leading lady. and he was in Remember? with greer. heehee! they are all good, but i dont appreciate Knights of the Round Table as much as D-Day Sixth of June. its a better love story to me. Remember? is a reaaaaaaally great love story and they are both young in it. i didnt mind his pairing with janet leigh, but i liked him better out of those two with ava in Ride Vaquero! that was a GREAT one! i have to agree whole heartedly. i usually dont many movies with lana too much, but i liked her best with clark gable. they had some chemistry to me. hey sweet april! chris is right, Above and Beyond n more for people with a hystorical liking and it isnt a GREAT movie, but it is fair enough to see a few times. it is not my fav of bushrod's and eleanor's. thats an interesting point you bring up about rob and fair actresses. i never thought that, and Camille oddly enough was my first of his movies i saw. i have to say that my fav of his leading ladies are eleanor parker, dana wynter, and deborah kerr.....in his later movies i guess you could say....and i cant leave out my greer and him, but thats just a given. heehee! i have seen most of his westerns, and he WAS suited for them, but i didnt like his leading ladies in those more so.

i respect papa louis for doing what he did for all of them at the studio of MGM. the "family" aspect is very much what i wish they would do nowdays instead of letting all of everything of these people's private lives leak out, when nobody wants to hear all these bad things. we would rather hear nice and loverly things! i think he did a wonderful job with helping that alone! the only thing i didnt like reading about him was him and his standards with his "favorites". he apparently wanted so dearly to date jeannette macdonald, annie miller, greer garson, and put some moves on judy garland, but he didnt do anything pasat thinking, b/c they wouldnt let him. nothing really happened so it really shouldnt be that big of a deal i guess. i love your thinking of him as a "dapper penguin". i told my mom that one time, but without the dapper part. her favorite animals are penguins and one day i was reading his bio and i was like, "oh he was just a big lovable teddy bear/penguin! heehee! how could one frown at a lovable smile such as that?!

i just couldnt decide whether i like bushrod better in a tux or his cowboy outfit, or leather outfit from Many Rivers to Cross. it has never come to mind for me to decide......i guess ill just love all of them. heehee!

i know isnt that name irresistable? heehee! thats almost as good as "melody jones" or "stretch"! heehee! they are all my hunks of softies! i wish him ansd eleanor parker were in more movies together. i simply loved every movie they made, which was unfortunately only three. but fortunately grandmama has all of them! i would have puppy dog pouted big time if i couldnt see all of them! Above and Beyond is another great one of theirs.

i know!! i wouldnt mind taking the apple from mr. robbie....of c ourse i would imidiately freeze after he handed it to me, and i wouldnt be able to kiss him on the cheek for it. heehee! he would have to do to me what he did to greer. grab her by surprise and plant a big kiss on her when she least expected it. heehee!

Many Rivers to Cross!!! my bushrod gentry is coming to DVD. i have to go out to buy this one!! my absolute favorite of Robert taylor's films!! everytime i watch this, grandmama and my aunt are in the room. if i watch it without them, they get a little testy, so i always wait for them, then when the movie starts we all yell at once....."BUSHROD! DONT LEAVE ME BUSHROD!" heehee! and then we promptly sing that cute little song he sings at the begining. heehee!

lookey what i found sweet april! i giggled when i saw the apples! too bad barry, she likes robbie more! heehee!

yank my chain and call me honey!!! pictures of David Ferrar!!!! what a beautiful beginning to my day!! they are so beautiful. thank you. -
'Course it counts! And it's alot more work. well, i dont think its harder. i think you must do an aweful lot of work just to line up every one of those caps you and frankie and some other people put on here! thats work! heehee! im just a cheater! oh no! whatever will happen to me now. everyone knows my secret! heehee! drama is highly underrated. *I love "Dobe" Carey's voice! He sings beautifully. Unfortunately for him, when John Ford found that out every time he worked in one of his movies, or socialized with him, he made him stand up and sing! Ha ha* heehee! i read that somewhere too! i found that too funny! thats almost as bad as when mr. "papa" head of MGM was with judy garland in his office and started singing "ah! sweet mystery of life" out loud, and no one could ever get him to stop until he sang every possible verse and he started crying too in the middle of the song! heehee! i love that story! in a matter of seaking....well i scanned them. heehee! does that count? that poor baby...sweet adorable beautiful baby heehee!....she named him three names at once. and they bickered about it the whole time. heehee! i also loved pedro's character. he was so funny! you dont see a guy with the name like "perley sweet" every day now do ya? heehee! i cant find many pics of the baby with Duke. i have found some online, but they arent the same as screencaps.i need to elarn how to do screencaps huh. heehee!. i just love it when the Abilene Kid sang to the baby. i thought that was real sweet!

*Yes I was quite surprised to see how many movies she appeared in. She looks like a little pixie!* yes, a pretty little pixie! thats it! heehee! elizabeth pixie! that funny that you said you have to post a pic of her in the movie you are watching whenever you find her. whenever i find her i always jump up and point to her on the screen. heehee!

i was in the modd for a little Duke last night, so i did the inney minnie miney moe and picked the 3 Godfathers with my finger and watched it. heehee! i do love this movie! the Duke and that little baby is just priceless! granted there are some sad parts that i cried to, but then there are those unexpected somical relief lines that make you burst out in laughter. when i first saw this, i had wide eyes going on, b/c i never thought Mildred Natwick would be the mother. goodness! she was always Griselda for me in The Court Jester. heehee!

*Beauty strangled Beast with her long black gloves.* i dont know if you remember in the movie, but she wasnt wearing gloves! *I agree. Gene is nowhere near as bad as Miss Impassive, Gary Cooper* youre just jealous of gary, b/c he looks beautiful in make-up!! i really dont mind It Takes a Thief, but havent you noticed that she always plays characters that dont stand by her men? honestly! that girl needs a talkin' to. heehee! she should have known that cary would NEVER do such a horrid thing! see...she looks all innocent in that pic, but really she is just waiting until it gets dark and then she'll strike! and then you soften me up with greer pics......honestly, that wont work monkey boy!...but they are beauteeeeeful! heehee! i just love greer's smile! its so pretty....she's happy to see smithy being real chatty. heehee! -

*Ha ha! "Monkey boy" is it? I'm sure it suits him perfectly. Let's put him in a cage and on exhibit at the Bronx Zoo. I'm sure he'll fit right in!* thats sounds mighty great! yeah he'll fit right in with the lions. heehee! shall we toss him in the cage?
