  1. *Now you'd better go over to the Noir gallery and revive FrankGrimes. He was overcome by your visit there.*

so i noticed.....lets keep him on the floor, he'll get up in a few minutes.....smelling salts april? heehee!

*Did anyone create with color like Renoir? I think not. Simply glorious*

i have seen imitations of his work and even experts cant accomplish the gorgeous detail enoir could do in his work. he truely was unique!

  2. *I've just regained consciousness after passing out. The stunning beauty of Veronica Lake, Yvonne de Carlo, and Martha Vickers is enough to knock any guy out, but seeing a sweet girl like you here was just too much for me. Don't you know this is the bad part of town? If you want proof of how naughty this town is, just check out who started this thread. A man could travel the world over and he won't find any worse.*

look who's here april....the dutchman wh's asking for a face full of strawberry shortcake.

oh by the way your welcome for the martha pics. heehee!

  3. holy joe! i wanted to see The River, but i keep missing it when it comes on. thats flustrating sometimes. heehee! The Woman on the Beach is a good one of jean Renoir's films...film noir that is. heehee!

everytime you look at a norman rockwell painting you always spot something new--its just that detailed. i love that!

  6. i also liked martha in The Man I Love, even thought her part in that wasnt as big either. i liked ida lupino in that one, and i also liked her in That Way with Women and Daughter of the West.

  7. thank you for the welcome sweet april....im trying to expand my horizons on here. heehee!

*Those pix show what a knock-out beauty Martha Vickers was. In a way I think it's too bad that her best scenes with Bogie may have been edited from the movie, because she might have developed into a bigger star and an interesting actress. She certainly was exceptionally pretty.*

i must say that i agree with you there! i have read quite a lot of ms. vickers (more than i thought i could get my hands on) and i think she would have indeed become mroe famous if they gave her some bigger and better scenes with bogie in that movie. i had the same impression as you when i saw it, i thought they cute out all her big scenes. i wish so much that they would have left them in. even thought her character wasnt the best, she had some chemistry with bogie.

  8. hey maureen!

yes me and grandmama love this movie! it has come on a few times on the Fox Movie channel, but i haven never gotten a chance to record it for myself. if im not mistaken grandmama might has a VHS copy of it. it really is cute, and at first i really didnt think they would have chemistry, but i could see it progressing as the movie played. she plays an aweful good maid and nurse all the time it seems in her movies. heehee!

  9. *No, but you are, Femme Fatale.*

minor detail. heehee! i thought i was sweet and innocent. now youre just confusing me!

I *agree. Gene is nowhere near as bad as Miss Impassive, Gary Cooper*

*youre just jealous of gary, b/c he looks beautiful in make-up!!*

    *That must be it.*

yup, indubidably! it couldnt be anything else.....come on, admit it....you want to wear make-up, so you can look good in black and white!

*i really dont mind It Takes a Thief, but havent you noticed that she always*

*plays characters that dont stand by her men? honestly! that girl needs a talkin'*

*to. heehee! she should have known that cary would NEVER do such a horrid thing!*

*How could a girl trust "The Cat"? He's sneaky.*

because he's trustworthy again, she just shuts him out of her mind that way like a dummy. heehee!

*see...she looks all innocent in that pic, but really she is just waiting until it gets*

    *dark and then she'll strike!*

    *I hope!*

forget it, that would only make you happy.

*and then you soften me up with greer pics......honestly, that wont work monkey*

*boy!...but they are beauteeeeeful! heehee! i just love greer's smile! its so pretty....*

*The girls with the pretty smiles are usually the most dangerous. They are hiding*

    *behind those smiles.*

    im gonna cry!! APRIL!!!!

*she's happy to see smithy being real chatty. heehee!*

*He rarely has time to chat since he's always stalking his victims.*

    no thats only you.

*I will give Jane Austen credit, she knows that the only way a woman can be smart*

*is if she marries a rich guy. She's right about that. Now I understand why Austen*

*is "intelligent" reading for women. Brilliant!*

no, isntthe moral of her story though...and by the way thats more evidence. heehee! jane austen teaches a lesson, that you should marry for love such as elizabeth and darcy set the example for all women to do. mrs. bennett just thinks her two eldest daughters married for moeny, but she also donest understand some things...poor baby, someone should tell her... oh mr bennet! heehee!

  10. *There's no need to take a shot at Theresa when she's not here. That's uncalled for. Must I always defend darling, innocent, lovable, little Sweet T from you and your evil ways?*

*You know I didn't mean her.*

    *You definitely did "MEAN" her.*

oh she did not frankie! you are just trying to put tension between me and april because youre jealous that there are two of us and only one of you!....and an ungentlemanly one at that!

*Who am I to conquer? You and her ain't worth it.*

that was rude, crude and socially inapporpriate! honestly frankie, just because you are a bit on the sour side this wek, doesnt mean you have to be this way. heehee!

*Smithy stabbed Paula to death and buried her in the courtyard and Will fell for a sweet, little lambchop. I had nothing to do with either.*

    GASPS!!!!! i just fell over!

smithy would never kill his true love. paula is disgraced by you and your crusading chit chat! heehee!

  11. *Yes! He's just sour because his "lambchop" refused his proposal and married Will Kane instead.*

a girl could go wild over her refusals. heehee!

poor frankie, he shouldnt deserve such madness....wait, who am i rooting for?! oh yeah.....he gets a little too sour over his litle lambchop.

  12. *OK, Mr Collins, I believe you. That's why you promptly set fire to your dvd of TABU, right? Because of all those revolting half-dressed natives?*

excellent point! oh thats too funny, i cant stip giggling.....doesnt he remind you of mr. collins though? heehee! "oh heavens what a pudding face." ;)

  13. *The purpose of clothing is to wear it at all times.*

i didnt know you wore clothes in the shower frankie. oh my goodness, even the most respectable people have to be clean ya know.....unless youre lane meyer, than you have permission to wear socks....but do you look like lane meyer to me?

  14. *Ohhh, I'd never do such a thing. Haven't you heard, I'm a traditional gentleman with no interest in sexy women. Us traditional gentleman only like our women fully-clothed at all times. A woman's delicate, soft skin should never see the light of day. What a revolting thought! Can you just imagine?*

you are such a compulsive liar! heehee! you saud yourself that you dont "mind" that kind of stuff! traditional gentlemen dont ever lie to women....and you know darn well that you arent any gentleman i would recognize. ;)

*And you know darn well that I don't watch movies*.

see? my sentiments exactly! goodness! every time i leave for a couple days its like you bottle up all your torture for me and just let it all out at once when i return. i mean really! heehee! if i hear anymore, i might fall over from exhaustion!

  15. *Do I translate that Italian title correctly: A Neopolitan Out West? Lol! boy, talk about creative advertising to reel in the Paisanos...*

i dont know Italian, is that what it says? heehee! thats too cute! back then people actually knew how to advrtise, nowdays people have to wear their birthday suits in thos mags to adviertis anything. yucky!

*Those coonskin caps look like they're about to walk away on their own!*

yeah i could picture that in the movie....."where'd my hat go?....oh look over there, its heading off to the south!" heehee! what a scene stealer that would be.
