[Looking for a movie title]

thanks... that was my first thought.. but im just not sure if that is it.. however as little as i know about the movie. it very well could be. Thanks for your help!

[Looking for a movie title]

I've been going crazy trying to remember the title of a movie. I saw it about 10 years ago maybe. I don't have much info or memory of it but i thought i would give it a try.

 

Black & white possible '40's but not sure. All i can remember is one scene about a man and a woman driving in a car (i think at night) and they look over a fence into a field and in the distance they see a carnival or circus which keeps vanishing in an out. And something about an abandoned or rundown carnival ground.
