Hey there! Like Audrey Hepburn and Powell? Are you kidding? I LOVE them both! Of course there is nothing wrong with liking JC, I've know this for sometime now. lol When I was a boy back in the 70's I was very shy and much of a loner, I spent most of my time in my own world sort of speak. Funny, very little has changed come to think of it, I'm still very shy, much a loner and in my own little world. One Spring, I went to help my aunt do some cleaning and I came to boxes AND more boxes in the basement full of Picture Play, Modern Screen, Photoplay, Movie Star News, etc. I can honestly tell you I was reborn that very day. A whole new and exciting world suddenly became a reality, even if it meant these were vintage items they still held a powerful visual impact for a little queen in the making. So, from them on I was hooked and turned into a chronic movies and movie stars junker, Good thing the acting bug never bit me or I could very easily have been another Eve Harrington stalking celebrities for a chance to become one. Yesterday I was in receipt of a personal email from a young person who feels traumatized by this discussion board and who feels discouraged from TCM. When I got this, I went ballistic. When abusive language and posts are allowed against minors and impressionable children, I draw the line and appeal to Time Warner, TCM and to you all. Show a better side to yourselves. Reflect people on what you want here. I don't want to see people excluded from here so much as to just behave themselves. But in case they don't TCM, needs to have standards of discourse. I will continue to engage people here in discourse provided we are having a respectful exchange of ideas. Snide personal attacks, insults, condescension, following my posts with taunting sarcasm are unacceptable. If I find that any such thing is going on against minors here, you all will see a side to me like I have shown in the last few days. Peace Thelma Todd Hello Thelma, I think you are making some progress, but I still find you are not being totally open about your real motives for this crusade of yours and your desire to have the message board patrolled and censored. I feel that will only make things worse for everyone else involved. Just one question. How can so many people from this site, including "minors" reach you by email if your email address is hidden? Are you using telepathy, flare light or smoke signals from your battle station to provide such information? I feel is time for you to stop ralling and instigating other members to join your camp. Your self appointed pokesperson's role for other people in hopes to make your argument carry more weight does not work and is not your position. I'm speaking to you as one who faced the truth, admitted wrong doing and apologized for it. Until you do as well Thelma, your wish for peace will not be met. I think I understand Thelma's motives better than most here and I can tell you, that she's as big a part of the problem as the very "people" she's instigating and protesting about in hopes to have them banned from these message boards. You made an excellent point, one I couldn't help but noticing myself. Does it make any sense if a top representative from TCM calls Thelma for her to address these issues that she would hung up on him for "being too upset to speak" NONSENSE! She would give the performance of her life! I could on the other hand see more fitting that if anyone "really" called her and she couldn't get "her way" then is more appropriate for me to accept the story of her hanging up in anger for is in character. Furthermore, you all read her postings about " leaving TCM forever" if I and the rest of the rude bullies where allowed to stay, etc. Well, this is Jay DePalma writing to you on Thelma's thread. Is painfully obvious she was crying for help to get you to run to her corner and win more supporters to achieved her plan. In all, she never meant to go anyway. Is my experience that when people had enough of something they don't cry wolf, they just say goodbye and go. There are still HUGE stars today - Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Reese Witherspoon, Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts - These actors bring many millions of dollars in ticket sales when a movie opens, simply by their appearance in it. That's star power. Hello, These HUGE ticket sellers are "actors" not stars. They are performers working in the film industry's graveyard but they're "orphans" of Hollywood's studio system, the very foundation or "milky way" that gave birth to the real "movie stars" of the screen. I think that glamour is a key ingredient that film makers and actors rely less and less about in a regular basis and instead because it is not a mandatory condition to look their up most best they take the basic steps and throw caution to the wind. So, they continue to go about disappointing the people who sees them and know a thing or two about what "a real star should look like" but even if they presented themselves in a more appropriate fashion, we would still have to come here for a glimpse of the real stars. I think Angelina Jolie is beautiful, on the other hand I think Roberts is not and most over-rated as an actress and a beauty. But that's me and perhaps a future thread. Cordially, Jay DePalma

Hello, Two rights don't make it wrong lol I honestly feel that all we got today are "actors", performers, personalities more than anything and being the only game in town the choice making is pretty weak, at best. I hardly ever go to the movies anymore and see on comcast everything of interest. There are times when a production does comes along and you can't help but feeling pump-up with excitment for it reminds you of how good we used to have it, but those are far and few in between. No, Hollywood in my opinion got no stars left. Thanks Jay DePalma
