No, not as far as I know. Olivia was closer to Bette though. I just LOVE them both. Remember in Hush, Hush....when sweet and classy Aunt Miriam lol walloped nutty Char on the side of the head and says in this low dragon-like breath :Would you shut your damned mouth! aaaaaaaaaahahahahaha!!!!!! I LOVE it!!!! I DO! :-) DePalma

Dear TCM, My vacation is over, I will soon be too busy with my work and is very unlikely I'll be spending the little free time I got coming online posting any more threads. Nevertheless, I will continue to watch your films and programs when possible - as always. Thank you for your appreciation of my time and contribution to your message boards. You didn't have to say it, still it was very nice of you to do so. Cordially, Jay DePalma

I personally won't pick one over the other and will give them both same billing. Olivia is a favorite BUT so is Joan. Two very different type of women altogether. Olivia was pretty and a fine actress. Joan was beautiful and also a fine actress. They represented to the best of their personalities and talent a product that was well received by the movie lovers of their time...and today's. I like them both. Joan's favorite role: Humoresque Olivia's favorite role: My Cousin Rachel DePalma

Well, I knew that much as the saying goes: The weasel never goes to chicken house to say: HAPPY NEW YEAR! Whatever give you the idea I was easy? Ha! Besides if I was, I doubt very much you would be here dishing it back. For whatever is worth, I think you are definitely a very nice man and I enjoy talking to you about the classics. We don't have to agree in everything, I really wouldn't like that at all, wouldn't be here either. The ball Sir............................................@ is in your corner. Thanks for your contribution. DePalma

The visual POWER of these images and the films they represent remains intact today and time if any has only added more meaning to their magic. I know that they will continue to seduced millions of more movie lovers for decades to come. I think of them as masterpieces, much like a fine work of art from a classic painter. There's no difference between them, not really...the human effort that went into their creation, the care and loving dedication to detail...that's what makes them superb in comparison to the product that Hollywood delivers now...that is also what sets them apart and keeps us falling in love all over again.
