  1. Would you consider Laraine Day a brunette? I'm thinking Hedy or Ava a brunette. Great trivia question from RainingViolets, nonetheless.
  2. SCSU...You're a big ol' copycat!! Cinemaven 7/5/2008 1:57PM: "Let me get this straight. SCSU has a job, a J-0-B??? Someone is paying him an actual salary?? SCSU 7/5/2008 2:00PM: "That's why it says ' professor ' in my profile. But I don't go back until September, so there is still plenty of time for photos and puns." But then you write this to me today: SCSU 7/7/2008 11:09AM: "WORK?? You work?? Somebody actually pays you a SALARY???" Boy, SCSU...you are soooooooooo unfair not to quote my whole statement, which was:I'm looking at my post now while I'm at work. And you're right...it IS just two little boxes with an X inside." I was admitting I was wrong...I threw myself on the mercy of the court for some folks not actually seeing my look-a-like posting of Mayo Methot and Fergie. You're a mean taskmaster, Professor. BTW, Fred...I'm glad you find me entertaining. I try to be, and you're pretty tough to please, so I'm very flattered you said that.
  3. Oh my goodness...if it was a snake it would've bit me. Would you really count Laraine Day as a brunette though?? Great question Rainingviolets!! Cinemaven.
  4. "With Six You Get Eggroll" "The Dirty Dozen" "Seven Women" "Eight Is Enough" (or maybe tv shows don't count). "Once Is Not Enough" "Two For the Road."
  5. I swear, she was one of the great character supporting actors in Hollywood. Loved her in "Caged" and "Mildred Pierce" and of course..."The Maltese Falcon." Even to have such a bit part in the great "Vertigo."
  6. I love it..."one post wonders." They post a complaint just to stir folks up. I used to fall for it. No More.
  7. I'm sorry about the dog. I'll stay 'till the ASPCA comes. He'll be okay. I just grazed him. I'm looking at my post now while I'm at work. And you're right...it IS just two little boxes with an X inside. Sorry to have wasted your time, folks. Oops...gotta run. Here comes the ambulance. As long as I don't have to walk the white line or take a breath-a-lyzer test, I'll be okay. Poor doggie. Theresa
  8. D'ya think Linda Darnell didn't want to go on Zanuck's casting couch and this is why he dumped her?? No body ever said those moguls were smart, right?
  9. D'ya think Linda Darnell didn't want to go on Zanuck's casting couch and this is why he dumped her?? No body ever said those moguls were smart.
  10. SCSU...do you see the photos above?
  11. Yes sir. I'm looking at both of them now. Hmmm...maybe I should stay away from that exercise.
  12. Hi there...please check again. Thanx!!
  13. I remember her in Joan Crawford's "Daisy Kenyon" and in Cary Grant's "Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House." She had the saddest eyes in show business. Thank you for creating a website for this fine young actress.
  14. No worries...no worries. Keep driving. I have some look-a-likes below. I believe Mayo Methot looks similar to today's Fergie (of the Black Eye Peas). Tell me what you think folks.
  15. Well, I think the queens of fussbudgetdom are DONALD MEEK and FRANKLIN PANGBORN. Think about it. You know I'm right. Fussbudgets UNITE!! (Though they're not really my favorite character type. I'll take the Hope Emersons any day).
  16. You're concerned becuz this is a smashing good idea. By the by...you're not theonly one concerned, I'm sure. LZ...let the games begin!!
  17. I'm getting the impression that you teach Math, SCSU...along with Patience. You know, if you don't watch yourself...I'm going to think you're a good guy. Congrats Bronxgirl. Reading those past posts reminded me of my Dad teaching me to drive. YIKES! But you did it...and nobody got hurt!!
  18. Hey, while we're at it, does anyone know the present financial situation for such as Heaven's Gate or The Last Movie ?" According to Variety, "Heaven's Gate" is about five trillion dollars in the hole. Warren Beatty had to give up his first-born to pay back the studio for this major dud. Yeah, I know he was in "Ishtar" but he had to pay for "Heaven's Gate" too. Show biz. It's a tough gig!
  19. Constant Craving. kdLang, of course. Sandra Dee or Carol Lynley?
  20. "Two Women" DRACULA'S DAUGHTER or SON OF DRACULA
  21. My! My! Even with clothes on. He and Steve Cochran's early death saddens me.
  22. As long as he's Veep to Obama. C'mon SCSU...Professor of what subject??
  23. Question: What do these three films have in common? THE LADY VANISHES STRANGERS ON A TRAIN SHADOW OF A DOUBT (1.) All three films were directed by Hitchcock. (2.) All three films threatened the lives of older women. (3.) All three films had Pullman porters named George. Am I warm, RaininViolets??
