Hey ButterGirl: How are ya?
The dimples on GG look very sweet. But that serious look and arched eyebrow, well...
-
Very touching, Lafitte. Very touching. Dee has that affect on lots of folks. She was wonderful. When I think of her I think of Carol Lynley. Is that wrong?
-
I loved when she told her scene partner 'neat trick' of how he made the sandwich disappear from her plate.
-
I'll say..."Mildred Pierce." ;-)
-
Summer's Eve anyone??

Let's let those kids fight about Garbo (who I love) while you and I talk about Ingrid Bergman.
There were great beauties and other actresses who I really like; A-stars, B-stars...no matter. But there's something about Ingrid Bergman who breaks my heart. I can't stand to watch her tortured ("Notorious" "Gaslight") and I think she's incredibly sexy. She is truly one of my top two favorites. (Lovin' Isabella!)

Sooooooooo, what do you really feel about Clooney?
-
That's a hot one. I got you Bronxgirl. And your mom's a scream.
-
"CAMILLE." Simply "Camille." She is extraordinary!
-
This is QUITE helpful Kim. Thank you for the information.

I enjoyed here with Chaplin. And she has one of the great stage names of all time.
But the star on the Walk of Fame...I don't see that being in the cards. Folks barely remember Chaplin. And he was a Master.

I LOVE pictures of Gloria Grahame when her hair is full and shoulder-length AND she's NOT SMILING. I think she looks her sexiest then.

"It's sad how there are so many underrated talents out there. Him, Steve Cochran, Scott Brady, John Ireland, Joel McCrea, Forrest Tucker, and Franchot Tone. (just to name a few)."
I was never a fan of Robert Montgomery's but I respect he was a talent. He never appealed to me and I've only watched becuz of someone else in the cast (mostly Shearer). I wholeheartedly agree about those you mentioned above as just under the radar. What separates a Forrest Tucker from a John Wayne, a John Ireland from a Dana Andrews ;a Franchot Tone from any erudite, urbane player like Ray Milland. Is it looks, the way they part their hair. What? I couldn't really enjoy "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" because of him. Help me out.
I've seen Elizabeth Montgomery's kids by Bill Asher. Hmmm...nothing to write home about, frankly. She was a real beauty and very likeable. Her loss still saddens me.

"oh yes i agree. everytime i try to find pics of any red-head i always look for color ones first. they justify that bright red hair more so than with plain black and white! especially dealing with the flaming red-heads like greer, maureen and lucy and all the other techini-color beauties out there."
Let's not leave out Susan Hayward and Rita Hayworth.
Well well, Frank...it must do your heart good to see how much you're admired here on the Message Board. WoW!!

"Actually, that's not quite true. In Saps at Sea, Ollie goes berserk every time he hears horns, due to being overworked in the horn factory. So unless he was attacked by Lena Horne as a child ..."
Why are you accusing the great Lena Horne of being a child molester?! Hasn't she suffered enough???

Oh Mark, I don't want to go to jail. I'd rather stay with you."
You guys can make fun of "MARNIE" if you want. It has flaws...but who cares.
Yeah yeah, 'Tippi' is that blonde uptight ice queen. And as Hitch shows Mark (Connery) trying to break her down, that's the motif he uses often in his film. The idea is to get that bun loose and untangled. And once you do... Boys, it's the hunt...the HUNT!
What woman wouldn't want to be on an empty ship with Sean Connery?
I love Connery's eyebrows and his sick twisted psychosexual obsession with a girl who he must blackmail and rape to get; to make her his. Gosh, I love a good romance.

Oh yeah, see...this is how wacky MEN are.
Only a man'd choose to follow Connie Stevens with Kim Darby.
WoW!!

Nawwwww....no crack for me. I was always a good movie-goer. Quiet, still and silently eating my Raisinets.

Hey Frankie G: "You know, I've yet to watch The Bad and the Beautiful and it's a film I've been wanting to see. Your words push me closer to the brink. I need to put aside some time to check out Gloria's Oscar-winning performance."
"The Bad & the Beautiful" is a great Hollywood-on-Hollywood film in it's totality. Don't expect too much from Double G in this film. I scratched my head as to why she won that Oscar...but grateful she did. She's always a delight to watch though.
-
No no FCD...I didn't infer any implication that you thought she was a bad actress.
I, myself, cannot stand to watch the film again. Saw it (at Radio City Music Hall) when the movie was released. But since that time, yeah...gag me with a spoon.
And with some ladies, you couldn't pay then to kiss a guy. But James Stacey, I dunno...he was a hunk!
-
Awwwwwwwwwww guys...she wasn't that bad. She had a nice juicy pair of lips...
-
Oh nooooooooooooooooo!!! :-)
I liked her.
-
God I would LOVE to see that again.

I'll betcha Bette didn't want to make "June Bride." I'll betcha she was under contract to Warners to make "June Bride."
Wanna bet?
