Ms. G., how 'bout "THE FURIES" or "REAR WINDOW" or "NO SAD SONGS FOR ME"? Think Sullavan would've rather kick the bucket than stay married to him in that film? I'm just sayin'...

One of my favorite songs "Brandy." Listen, what station is this internet radio??? I need something to pull me out of the misery that is my job. Killing me softly!!!!
-
"Drum Boogie" by the incomparable Gene Krupa in "Ball of Fire."
-
Though I am a Katharine Hepburn fan...I prefer in her in the 30's & 40's; the 50's not so much. I didn't catch "The Rainmaker" this afternoon. Am I un-American?

Aaah Mr. Novak.
In high school, I used to go to the candy store and buy a dill pickle and a bag of potato chips. Quite a snack!
-
"Desert Fury"
MARGARET LINDSAY...
-
I dunno...but loved hating him in "The Heiress."

Sometimes the awful truth is a rather mission impossible.

"The House of the Seven Gables" becuz I would want to find Clark Gable coming out of every...uh...wait a minute. Oh, that's an architectural design. Never mind!
-
Grand news!!! I'm four subway stops from Lincoln Center.
She WAS one of the greats!

And just WHAT in the hell do you have against left handed actors???!!
;-)
Say Dred...not a bad day, just your opinion...and that's okay. How 'bout disabled actors (Harold Russell, Lionel Barrymore, Herbert Marshall, Mamie Van Doren...
mammary-challenged?)

So many films...so little time!

Frankly, Jennifer Jones is one of the screen's ultimate heartbreakers. I still see her trying to retrieve her love letters from a fireplace in "Love Letters."

Hi Princess...you know in "Splendor in the Grass" I really liked seeing Beatty with Zohra Lampert. No, she wasn't as glamorous as Natalie...but there was something about her. I liked when Natalie wanted to be excused from class. I also liked the scene with Natalie freaking out in her bathtub. See what happens when one doesn't release that sexual tension.
(...And that mummy being wrapped up for over a thousand years! Tsk! Tsk!)

"I liked Taylor as he aged; he grew into those rugged good looks. That oft-told notion of him being prettier than his leading ladies wasn't true in THE CONSPIRATORS!
Hot still of Kate and Burt. Was she even thinking of Spence right then and there??
You're right...Robert Taylor's looks is not a factor in "Conspirator" what with Elizabeth Taylor's looks blinding the sun.
I'm sure Spencer Tracy was sweating bullets every day Kate went on "The Rainmaker" set. Whew!! Make it rain.
You & your mom. Cute.

Dred, what're you yawning about? The thread idea? NOT Katy, are ya? She wouldn't put you to sleep...well not in a bad way.
-
Frank you are always right on time. (Your girlfriend must love you for that!) I was totally wrong.
Mea culpa! Gish WAS in "Portrait of Jennie."
Gulp! I was so taken with Jones...I missed the gem.

Hi. You need not be corrected becuz you are correct. I've read that too.
-
Excellent idea Joe. (Rita Moreno, Katy Jurado) Say, are you talking of bonafide Latino actors or Caucasians playing Latinos?
-
Just like Clinton and Obama. I'm torn...torn.

WHAT BRONXGIRL...YOU HAVEN'T SEEN "OUT OF THE PAST" YET??? WHADDYA WAITIN' FOR?!!AWMIGAWD...STOP THE PRESSES. YOU SHOULDN'T SEE ANOTHER MOVIE UNTIL YOU CHECK OUT MITCHUM AND GREER IN THIS.

Connie Marshall was one of the most sensitive child stars from that time period. Wonderful eyes. (See her in "Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House" and "Daisy Kenyon.")

Presteign, I humbly apologize and will re-read your rules. Uh...a single sentence you say.
Creativity cruelly thwarted and stunted. Again, my apologies.

what classic film are you a virgin of?

"What I really should do is watch In a Lonely Place and Kiss Me Deadly so that I can talk with Dewey, Arkadin, and ChiO again. Maybe they can save me."
I'm sorry...excuse me. Are you admitting you have NOT seen "IN A LONELY PLACE"??? I know this is a thread for classic film virgins, but GEEZ! You must lose your virginity on this regard quick! Aren't you the Gloria Grahame fan?? ;-)
