  1. I agree with all those who say it looks like a photoshoped photo.

  13. *Cosi Fan Tutti* actually is a movie, besides your answer was late nw: singularly
  14. > {quote:title=visualfeast wrote:}{quote} > At any rate, it's one of many films that can only be seen on TCM. Some are good, some, not so good...but certainly interesting and, I say, Bring 'em on! That is exactly right, visualfeast - this is the reason many of us love TCM. :x
  15. Has this already been posted? *Stop Worrying about Dr. Strangelove, he's coming to Blu-ray* The films of Stanley Kubrick were early entries into the Blu-ray world, but a few key films are still waiting for the high def upgrade. Now Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying And Love The Bomb is coming to Blu-ray from Sony. No supplements are announced for the film, nor are any details on whether the film will keep it's varying aspect ratios when it arrives. But it will arrive; specifically it will arrive on December 9th with a suggested retail price of $28.95.
  16. This weird French movie is from around 2001 but it had not been released on DVD in the States until last week, the name is *Belph?gor - Le fant?me du Louvre* but you might see that translated as *Belph?gor - Phantom of the Louvre*. Not a truly great horror movie by any means, but it should certainly appear to francophiles and to fans of Sophie Marceau and Julie Christie (who is apparently dubbed in the French-language version of the movie).

  19. Sandy Dennis was in *Splendor in the Grass* with _Pat Hingle_
  20. > {quote:title=FrankGrimes wrote:}{quote} > Hey there, Film Fatale! -- Frank you may also want to check out Two Women the movie for which Sophia won an Oscar. It's in PD hell in the U.S. so it may be hard to find a good looking copy, although the one they show on TCM from time to time doesn't look so bad. > > I'll add it to my DVD list, Double F. Butterscotchy also recommends it. It's a very good movie, but it can be a bit depressing. However I'm sure you'll understand why it's such a powerful movie. Say, I stayed away from this thread for the longest time because I don't like seeing people get hurt. I am not sure if I understand the format.... can anyone fill me in on the details? Is this thread just to, well, torture FG?
  21. I think it shows fairly regularly. I'd recommend you watch the original as well, if you haven't already. Some Hitchcock fans like his first version better.
