[PEGGY CUMMINS/FOREVER AMBER/MOVIES YOUVE NEVER SEEN]

Recently heard on another chatboard that TCM will sometime in the future have a program called "Movies You've Never Seen" and that it will feature the footage Peggy Cummins was in for "Forever Amber" before she was canned by Zanuck........any truth to this? if so, when will it be aired???????

If you ask me, what's the point!!!!!!!! WHY do we need another biopic on Sinatra when it's been done before (at least on TV) and the poor guy who gets to play the lead will be lambasted all over the place for not being this, or that, or whatever.......Frankly I'm disappointed that Scorcese would undertake such a weak project!!!!!!!!

[Letterbox movies on HBO, etc.???]

Hi...

 

I am frustrated at not being able to find out why premium channels such as HBO NEVER show movies in letterbox.......I emailed HBO recently and they replied that 'their source for the films does not have this capability'......what the heck IS their source? and why don't they have the ability to show letterbox?

 

I know TCM has nothing to do with HBO, but, after HBO, you were the next guy I thought of to ask!!! Something needs to be done!!!!!!! They could show letterbox films, say, from midnight to 3 am, or some such thing; I don't know exactly......but anything is better than nothing!!!

 

Can you find out any more about this??????
