  1. It's a great website. I've looked at it many times before. It's trying to promote the unknown actresses in cinema like Diana Lynn. There's enough sites supporting Veronica Lake...I love her though just saying.
  2. I had a crush on Fred when I was 13 because of how charming he is.
  3. I love Elvis movies. They're cheesy and fun. I'm in support of this.
  4. The reason why Joan Crawford and Bette Davis are so loved is because of how campy they are. But were they the best actresses of their time? That could be debated but I still love them.
  5. When I was a teenager I accidently kicked a hole in the wall. I took a movie poster and covered over it. (Shawshank Redemption) only when my sister moved it three months later was it discovered and I was punished.
  6. It kind of started with big band in itself. The vocalists used to be in the background and not the main focus of the band. But Jimmy Dorsey changed that with Helen O'Connell and things switched.
  7. Yes they do. Looking for Love and Rio Rita which is being showed in June are movies I asked for in the suggestion box. It's just that there are so many suggestions but they do listen.
  8. do you think of her primarily as an actress or a singer?
  9. Doodles Weaver. I agree. He was so painful in Road to Nashville.
  10. I agree with Katharine Hepburn. 4 Oscars please!
  11. Glad to see Marion mentioned. There is a cheap $10 cd of Marion Hutton called On the Air on Amazon. I read in one of the Whatever happened to... by Richard Lamparski (probably spelled it wrong) that Marion later quit the big band life and went to college. She had a bigger role in Abbott and Costello's In Society as a cab driver.
  12. I just watched this movie yesterday. It was the first time I've saw Ann Rutherford. She was so cute. I'm going to check into her other work. Carole Landis was good as one of the bad orchestra wives.
  13. S.Z. Sakall and Edward Everett Horton. It's so nice to see someone mention them. They were fabulous supporting actors. It was nice to see them together in Thank your Lucky Stars.
  14. Dietrich because she made better pictures. I think they were both were fabulous actresses though.
  15. Chaplin because Keaton's of worst like the Ages one.
  16. That's hard. I have to say Jimmy Stewart for his Anthony Mann movies though Cary Grant was easy on the eyes.
  17. Glad to see there's someone else who likes Herbert Marshall. I agreed with one of the other postings with Edmund O'Brien. He was fabulous in Bigamist, D.O.A. .
  18. Marilyn but I loved Jayne in Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter?
  19. Elizabeth Taylor plum - no insult whenever I think of her purple comes to mind Fred Astaire - avocado
  20. Good job. But I haven't seen that grocery bag part yet.
