  1. I like the B and W look. It makes look more moody. But I have to admit when I was starting out in cinema I had this foolish idea too.
  2. Just as long as it's not The Alamo. Not thrilling enough for a beginner. I started in a generic way with the Clint Eastwood movies, Good, Bad, and the Ugly.
  3. Yes they can be compared. This post has upset me.
  4. I agree we should and that should start by releasing the movies of the people you mentioned. I didn't mean to come across as bad. Sorry.
  5. What's the point for starting a fight? I am a person and I do have feelings. You're misreading me. Don't jump so close to conclusions. I generally was interested in what she said and just checked out all of the names she mentioned only there's a dilemma they're not on video.
  6. Oh please now that's just insulting. Okay maybe not a new post I don't know. That was uncalled for.
  7. I agree the race card in this was unnecessary. What she should have done was start another post about the era's black beauties. I also didn't like the Dorothy Dandridge bashing. She's not talked about 50 years later for nothing. I did print out the post for the names the woman mentioned though as I was unaware of them. She should have taken a different approach.
  8. I agree. Leni Reifenstahl is cited to be an influential documentary maker. She deserves kudos.
  9. Funny I'd asked for a refund. Same thing happened to me when I bought the movie It with Clara Bow. I got Stephen King's It. Quite a contrast
  10. They know Alec in a way...Star Wars.
  11. Tom Hanks playing Alec Guiness part. Why did they remake what is already a classic?
  12. I watched a Blondie film recently and was surprised at Penny Singleton's charisma. The Academy seems to be stuck up. Only the "important" dead people can go through.
  13. Are any of those pre Rogers films on video?
  14. Roger from "I Dream of Jeannie". I doubt anyone can beat that but I'm curious about answers to this.
  15. Johnny was a good looking man. only on tcm would I find someone answer like that .
  16. No Dale always starred with Roy. I still think she was a cute gorgeous woman.
  17. Forgot Veronica Lake, Randolph Scott, Dale Evans...the list could go on.
  18. ignore this I meant it as a continuation of the other post
  19. Forgot Veronica Lake, Randolph Scott, Dale Evans...the list could go on.
  20. Rita Hayworth Arletty Catherine Denevue Lee Remick guy wise: Alain Delon James Dean
