I'm curious about the reactions to this question. My nominee is Ann Miller. She was a better dancer and singer than a lot of the people in her time but was sadly always put in the background.

I love the quickly put together miscellaneous musicals from the back days. The ones that were obviously quickly put together. There was a certain charm to it. I'm going to have to think about this one but I'm curious about anyone else's choices.

Hedy Lamarr - cold. Ever see her in Tortilla Flat? No emotion. Agree with the other guy Nick, Van Johnson too seems egotistic.
Errol Flynn, Douglas Fairbanks - pirates aren't my thing.
Also who always costarred besides Colleen Moore, he isn't unlikable, Lloyd Hughes. He was fine but didn't match up to her romantically.
Also Joan Leslie,(High Sierra) not least likable, but not too talented either

I watched a Blondie film recently and was surprised at Penny Singleton's charisma. The Academy seems to be stuck up. Only the "important" dead people can go through.
