Frank Thank you, that is the picture....It is strange how ones memories can sometimes play tricks. I truthfully thought I saw that picture long before it came out. This picture ranks right up there with some of the most scary movies ever made. Thank you again. Greg

Thanks all. I am going to have to locate a copy of The Innocents and see if it is the move. If the lady/ghost is seen in the lake, it is probably the movie. I do believe this film is too recent as I first remember seeing it when I was very young which would put it before 1961. All that aside, thanks for the input and if anyone else has another movie, please list it for me. This is driving me bonkers.

Help me identify the following movie please. It was in black and white. Most likely late 30s, late 40s or early 50s. Story line involved a ghost of a "lady in a lake" who I believe haunted a family or children who lived next to the lake. I believed the title to be something like, "The Lady in the Lake" but so far I am unable to locate the movie. Thanks Greg
