  2. Ok...I am absolutely going insane...I cant remember who was the Star of for March 2008? I' ve Kept track of every month but for some reason missed March. Can some one please tell me who it was????
  3. Sorry my response was for the tcm programmer...ooops
  4. Not sure how anyone was able to see it prior to June. But I read it on by reading the schedule on this site after June 1st.
  5. Thanks for your quick response...It does not have to be necessarly Barbara Hershey. I only thought it a good choice since With Six You Get Egg Roll was Barbara's 1st film and Doris' last. But I am sure that TCM can find someone to Narrarate. The point is Doris Deserves to be featured. I have to thank you for premiering With Six You Get Egg Roll. (It is a tcm premier right?) Will you ever show Tea for Two again. Last year when it was on I recorded it on my DVR. well I thought I did and completely missed it and it is one of the only Doris Day Film I have never seen
  6. TCM PROGRAMMER I have asked this question numersous times. As much as TCM likes Doris Day why is the Star Story segment on her and Irene Dunne. My suggestion is Barbara Hershey to narrate a segment on Doris. Hopefully they will have something by the time her day is on in 10 Aug

  8. I am happy about Richard Widmark but dissapointed that Kiss Of Death will not be shown
  9. Has any one seen the Schedule for Summer Under The Stars...Last year was better I think. Some of same stars from before (Spencer, Katherine, Doris, Rita) but some new stars as well
  10. I am Just finding this thread...I am such a huge DD fan so I am going with Doris..but I do love Judy. It's a shame they never did anything together. There was also a Radio Interview with Doris on her 83 birthday inwich Liza called in and said Vincent Minelli adored her or (something like that) What a shame he never directed her.
  11. I missed Joan Fontaine on the list...surprised that I saw Robert Young though I hardley ever see any of his films
  12. Great selection but did Sharon Tate make that movies to qualify?
  13. After viewing the list of Stars of The Month I would have to say Paul Newman, Joan Fontaine, and Eleanor Park
  14. As far as actresses go I would like to see Doris Day again only because when she was the Star of month back in Jan 2003 they only aired 12 of her movies. I am surprised actually that she will be in Summer Under The Stars 2008 but why every year that she's on TCM always show Tunnel of love or close with Julie I will never understand. As far as someone who I have never seen as Star of the month I would like to see Joan Fontaine
  15. she is not a recluse...in fact she even sued the Globe for making that comment..and she has also joked that fact being she is the leading female box office star of all time but yet the most underrated. I am sure she would be pleased and I doubt very much if TCM would have trouble from her if the segement aired...
  16. I wonder why the Tcmprgmr is not responding to our inquest
  17. Oh god please not Renee Zelwiener..I personally think a great choice would be Barbara Hershey even though she has been in any movies lately ( not that I know of) but think of it Doris' last film was her first film...
  18. For me I have to tie that performance with her performance in The Man Who Knew Too Much. My favorite scene not only when she learns of her sons kidnapping but the stare down she has with brenda debanzi in the chappel..And if someday they ever do a segment on doris that is one scene to mention
  19. Not sure what you mean by that
  20. I agree with you..What I dont understand is that on a few occassions Mr.Osbornse has even stated that Miss Day is definitly one of his favorites..Well at least she's getting a birthday tribute next month. Message was edited by: sudable44
  21. tcm has a segment in wich an actor or actress narorates a mini biography on famous movie star of the past..example Meryl Streep on Bette Davis, Michael Douglas on Kirk Douglas, etc,,and I think its an awsome segment, but why ( and I ask this to tcm programer) is there nothing like that on Doris Day????
  22. I know..I didnt realize that til after my post...
  23. why not cut " Heavan can wait " and replace with another Kerr film like Black Narcisus for example
