Couldn't disagree more. I find her terrifically entertaining. I like her partnership with Julie Kavner - they do some great sketches together.

I have a buddy who names that as his all-time favorite movie. He's watched it so many times - I'm talking at least a hundred times - he now just falls asleep immediately after it begins. It's become some kind of comfort blanket.

Today's recording will be of 'From the Terrace' (1960) for me. Saw it way back in the early 60's - can't remember if it was any good. But with Newman, Woodward, Ina Balin and George Grizzard, it's worth taking a chance on.

LOVED the novel. The movie is just ok. Decent shark for 1975.

Watched 'The Shawshank Redemption' (1994) Sunday evening. It's only the 2nd time I've watched it, and as is often the case with movies, had more appreciation for it the 2nd time. It is the highest rated movie of all-time on IMDb, I believe. A score of 9.4. Personally, I don't think it's THAT good, but it is very compelling.

Works for me. First time took a full minute or so to load, but now it comes up very quickly.

Saw 'The Pyx' once, way back when. All I remember is Karen Black's legs for some reason. I think she was wearing fishnets or something like that. I know it was a supernatural type mystery too, but can't recall anything about the actual plot.
