I find some of the TCM produced short time gap fillers to be truly inspiring. The one running now that shows a city's lights with just a piano soundtrack warms my heart. About a year ago they were airing one that was of a dumpy motel room and the song was real bluesy. Does anyone know the name of the song and who recorded it. There were quite a few inquires about it on the board at that time but I have forgotten it. Maybe the singer's name was John Henry? Not sure! I keep waiting for TCM to start using in again. I know they do recycle some of the shorts - I've seen the one where the man is walking through the trees at night to a great poem - so I was hoping they would use the motel one again. I don't know what TCM calls these little treasures but the team that creates them needs to be recognized in some way. Some are truly little bits of heaven. I would also like to thank whoever sets the mood for the one on one interviews. I think it is a Billie Holiday song but I would like to know the correct title. I think they use two of her songs as lead-ins to TCM original productions. I just wanted to express my gratitude for the talented people who put together these presentations. To me, they are truly talented artists. If anyone recalls the motel song, please reply.
