I learned just a few weeks ago Donna Butterworth who starred in "The Family Jewels" (1965) passed away this past March. She made only one other film with Elvis Presley. RIP... February 23, 1956 – March 6, 2018

Throwing that old f**t down the shaft was one of the best endings ever for a villain. Too bad Vader didn't live to reconcile.

TV trends to show dads unrealistically i.e. "Father Knows Best" but I think the most realistic BEST dads portrayed are John Walton in "The Waltons".. Mr Ingalls in "Little House on The Prairie". Can't help making the comparison to the fictional worst dad, Tony Soprano... ..to the real life John Gotti.

May be only CGI but if Nemo's father don't portray the best dad, what does? Worst Psycho dad in "The Shining" (1980)
-
The best dad is in "Mrs Doubtfire" (1993) going to the extreme of being a female impersonator just to be with his kids. The worst dad...lol chop off the son's hand and then confess "I'm your father".

There is a movie that had a mythical book within the plot..."Patton" (1970). George Patton was reading a book titled The Tank in Battle. There is no such book but Rommel did wrote one about tactics called Infantry Attacks (German: Infanterie greift an0)

"Weird Science" (1985) Talking about the Chet... Wyatt.... Lisa, we can't have him like this...it'll ruin Christmas. Sure will.

Never seen it before but I had to STOP watching "Romeo and Juliet" (1936) on TCM. Goodness suppose to be a movie not a camera set up on stage with actors overacting. To be or not to be...I'll choose the latter.

"Megiddo" (2001) Rather have Satan not looking like a bat on steroids.
-
Micheal York in "Megiddo" (2001) Devil incarnate.

2 problems with "The Manhattan Project" (1986) Building and carrying a plutonium device without shielding. Never mind lead, use Plexiglass. Kid should have glowed like a Cyalume. Committing ANY form of nuclear terrorism and think the government is going to let you walk out the door. Dr. John Mathewson (John Lithgow) was correct about locking one up and throwing the room away.
