  1. Before the last website update, one could do that by using the width and height parameters but no more. It is now dependent on the file *size*. One example is Google Images, you might see duplicate images using different sizes, try using the smallest.

When I post I try to keep them under 78K. If you want small, try using 15K to 32K file size.

Some members like the the lastest web update, why I don't know. Before it was very easy to set the size you wanted. I don't know of any commands or parameter delimiters within the exclamation marks on each end.

Good luck in finding them, if any.

  2. "Quo Vadis" was nominated for eight Academy Awards, twice for Best Actor in a Supporting Role, Leo Genn as Petronius and Peter Ustinov as Nero. However, the movie did not win a single Academy Award

As far as the Golden Globe Awards

Peter Ustinov won the Golden Globe Award Best Supporting Actor. :)

    *Great* movie.

About Snake Woman, there is a guy at work who is afraid of snakes, a possible dream date?

  3. Glad you found this out, I didn't know there was a version made this early. I have the 1915 version starring Viola Savoy. According to my film book, there is also a 1927 version. TCM should run all these earlier ones, including the ones released on 9-20-1931 and 12-11-1933.

Very surprised that this much of the 1903 film survived :)

PS I don't like the newer one which should have been called "Alice on Bad Acid" :(

  4. I think he's best suited for those government type of roles like the National Security Advisor in the movie "Contact", the last movie I saw him in. He comes across as one of those guys you meet when you are dragged in for an IRS audit.

If they ever make a movie about the desperate Joseph Stack, they should cast James Wood as the IRS guy who ticked him off. I learned about this incident on "The Ralleye James Show" - its been one of her favorite subjects. Hollywood should consider making a movie about this.

Its that time of the year, ouch! :|

    He looks "governmental" doesn't he?

  5. I am sorry that photo upset you so. I was considerate in deleting it, you could have left it at that. I live in a part of the country in which deer hunting is common place and I have long since been accustom to it. That reply was intended for the previous poster, not to offend people who may be animal rights advocates.

This is a perfect example how the movie "Bambi" humanizes animals and we can see how this cartoon can be seen with such a violent content.

Again I apologize if that photo which was not at all gory offended you so. :(

  6. I just saw the commercial for it and I don't like it. Its a dark version of the story much like the Sci Fi channels, "Alice". I like the the 1999 version better even if its a made for TV flim.

I can't beleive Disney is having a hand in this! What ever happen to *charm?*

So many dark gloomy movies being made nowadays - I think people are playing way too many video games and the movies are beginning to reflect it.

Bet Walt Disney is turning over in his grave. :(

  7. There are some people who claims that our favorite slapstick comedies and cartoons are "violent", making our kids aggressive. I guess better to blame it them instead of bad parenting. I've watched cartoons all my life and to this day I swear I have never hit anyone over the head with a 20 pound mallet.

This ones pretty gory, poor thing. :)

Oh yes how about our old TV sitcoms, violence?, nah.

  8. When I first saw the name of the thread I *was afraid* to read it, but after seeing "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf", I breathed a sigh of relief.

About the comments on watching old couples arguing for 2 1/2 hours, think of it as a supplement to "Cops" and "Divorce Court", we will be getting our money's worth then!

(isn't that the usual order?) :)

  9. Here are some links that might can help you in finding the Ronson lighter. Are you referring to the "Ronson New Yorker Baronet Lighter" or the "Ronson Touch Tip" aka the "Ronson T-T"?

Good luck. I'm still looking for ANY photos of a 1946 version of the Allied Radio "Ocean Hopper". (not later ones).
