CK your timing is *perfect!* Have you read my recent post about the 2009 remake of "Meteor"? I beleive many of these remakes are done by *zombies!*. If you think the remake of "The Living Dead in 3D" was BAD enough, have you seen the ads for this insult to the meaning of what a movie is? *Death Be Not Stupid!*

This problem looks like a TCM version of "how to build a better mouse trap". As in that expression, the simplier way is usually the best. I like to past my idea to you along. This won't even require one to even use a member name and should be foolproof. Let the "Suggest a Movie" request be in 2 stages. 1st stage, one must type in the exact name of the movie. Have the title be cross reference across a major movie database like Imdb.com or maybe TCM can set up one. After entering it, if NO results is found, the website would reply .If more then one movie has the same title, a list is showned asking you to select which one. On the 2nd stage, a list of CLICKABLE phrases of why one wants it aired like "great acting", "has good casting", etc. In other words, a poster just won't type in just anything which is causing the problem to begin with. After that then a reply would say "Your suggestion is received, thank you" What's your opinion on this idea?

In my case such a device would explode.

I like that article Fred. Seeing Mona in that photo shows how awkward she really looks. Didn't anyone at the time noticed? To me the only silent era adult actress that convincingly played a child between the 12 to 15 year old range was Mary Pickford.

I just hope future generations don't misinterpret the reasoning for keeping the 20th Century Fox logo. I can just see some 24th century historian digging up an ancient movie made in 2009 by Fox and say to him or herself "ha, those morons didn't even know what century they were living in".

Just a thought in the back of my mind. Shouldn't 20th Century Fox stop using their logo for *new* movies? This is the 21st century after all. Using the "Searchlight" logo for all their new movies would be Ok. Too bad MTM used the kitten for their logo, it BEST suits MGM at the present time. Meow

This is the only photo of Mona Ray I can find. She is 104 years old this year, born January 17, 1905 ! This means she was between 21 - 22 during filming. Explains her awkward appearance. She made only 4 films according to wiki. Even they don't have a photo of her.

I was referring to the "Harry" charactor. At the beginning Harry looks like a girl. Near the end Harry looks like a boy (wore pants and a boys hat). So is Harry a girl, boy, Chimera or like the SNL's "Pat" charactor unknown?

The little boy in this movie looks (and acts) like Shirley Temple ! Ha ha ha ha ha ha. Is this movie Topsy Turvey or what?

I don't know if you are referring to novels that has not made it to the big screen or good novels made into bad movies. The authors Kit Pedler and Gerry Davis's "Mutant 59, The Plastic Eaters" is a good little novel that has not made it to the movies. As far as good novels made into bad movies, its a matter of opinion. This is why we should NOT give out any personal information on the internet. I've seen a few posters tell their "life story" here and this is not a very good idea. This is why I don't say much about myself (try to speak in generalize terms) and refuse to take up offers from other members or even buy merchandise from TCM, best to do it elsewhere, seperately. People who goes on Facebook, Myspace, etc *what are they THINKING!* They are just asking for trouble. Are we learning yet?

I should have mentioned that the 3 disc soundtrack came in a special foldout jacket which was heavier made. I took 2 pictures of it showned below. I am comparing a 3 disc soundtrack along with the foldout jacket next to *single* Victor record that only came in a very thin paper sleeve. Also don't forget the buying power people had during the 1930's.
