CK this might help you. On the forums that has this bug, use only the photos which has the address that starts out with http. DO NOT type the
.
Place an exclamation mark just before the http and AFTER the jpg or gif that is (!http) and (jpg! or gif!)
This is what I have been doing.

The lawyer could take on my corrupt *county* and do a sequel

Thanks movieman1957 and Kid Dabb for passing that info along. See my last photo which is an edited post.

Thanks I tried it on the Belated Happy birthday thread and it worked. Question is will it *still* work after the fix is done?

DUH, you think !?
Maybe if Hollywood wait a few years until this poor girl turns 18, they will have a Barbie "ready made".
By the way, who will play Ken, Matt Damon?

He has hundreds of photos here. It will take him forever to repost all of them.
Be nice if there was a type of "wildcard" code that would allow one to do so like in the old MS-DOS command. Maybe the Webmaster could somehow do it.
-
The poster I really feel sorry for is *mongo*. All that time, trouble and efford that was made into posting those hundreds of wonderful photos.
-
The movie "HEALTH" is great for TCM's health but *not* "Sicko". Anyone wanting that Michael Moore movie shown would simply be plain sick.
-
The TCM Webmaster could learn from the old expression "if its not broken, don't fix it!"
-
Boris Karloff has long since told us of the horrors of putting his makeup on in "Frankenstein". (Karloff thinking to himself - finish up already!!)
Not related to Universal, RKO in which James Arness told the story of wearing the "Jolly Green Giant" makeup all day long during the filming of "The Thing". He got a lift by someone and while on his way to where ever he was going, a lady in a car waiting for the traffic light fainted when she saw him.
To this day she has a fear of eating "Green Giant" food products.

I'm glad you see my point. Yes TVLand is intended for the old TV classics. But like TCM, TVLand might wind up showing "Two and a Half Men".
"I Love Lucy" will always be the tops. It was the very first sitcom my parents watched in 1953 when they got their first Zenith tv set. Lol, in 1953 only 2 channels.

This what happens when TCM (including the webpage) runs *backwards*.
Or maybe this bug is reflecting the channel.

Welcome to the boards. Mostly old folks like myself here.
By the way you are right, 90% of the movies I've seen this year is *junk*. You're very wise for being only 13. You will do well here.
-
On the lighter side.

TCM should be *showing* it in a couple of years.
-
Well I might be in the minority but this shows how much I care about what TCM shows. I'm here mostly to get away from recent films, to look at the old original classics. When I was young, I didn't care about silents. Because of TCM, I now like them very much. Getting older and wiser I guess.
If the rest of you want TCM to become "show anything you please" channel then go ahead. At this rate TCM will be showing "Girls Gone Wild" soon.
I'm sticking to my guns.

I've seen that movie and its very tame. What little nudity you see is from behind, at a DISTANCE, underwater. It would make a good film for TCM Underground. It is based on actual events. The most funny part is the school room scene. How does one expect to learn in that hillbilly dump of a school with pigeons pooping on your homework.
Movie does have an happy ending.
Footnote: Don't forget how young Loretta Lynn was when she married.

I also agree with you. I mean how *many* "A Christmas Carols" can be remade? It should be in the book of World Records for most remakes made! Hollywood has no imagination anymore and what is done today is crappy beyond belief.
This is why I come to TCM once in a while, to look at the ORIGINAL classics - no remakes, no modern day movies. *Some people here just don't get it.* Do I have to yell it from a megaphone! Instead of remakes, how about retreiving old films from their vaults. Fortunately they have been doing so with some movies. A few will be aired this November i.e. "The Great O'Malley" with Humphrey Bogard.
The *only* movie I know that DOES needs to be remade is "Its Alive" because of the very low budget the producers were stuck with, couldn't do much back then with the homicidal infant.
As far as "King Kong" goes yes the original was the best, I don't like the first remake but must admit the 2nd wasn't too bad (or too good). I do like the fact the producers kept the original 1930's theme. But THAT SHOULD BE THE LAST REMAKE done of it.
All these modern day remakes are enough to make one jump off the Empire State Building.

How do you all feel about trolling can be a *crime* punishable by doing jail time. I've seen a couple of sites pondering this question. One is
http://www.techdirt.com/articles/20090505/1244544756.shtml
What exactly is the law today on the subject. Would it help us here at TCM?
According to Bloggerblog.com it is a crime. Has it been struck down since it was introduced in 2006?
I know putting a troll in jail might put a damper on his or her activities, might even make them grow up.
Any thoughts on the subject - is it too extreme?
-
Was you up last night watching "The Cranes Are Flying"? The actress starring in it was pretty though.
I think Jane Fonda has her mind focused more on Broadway nowadays.
-
With some luck our trolls have crawed back under their bridges.
Here is a site that tells us what makes them tick and how to *eradicate* them. (maybe explains why the states don't keep the bridges repaired!)

As I said I like "O Brother" but its best showned on AMC. I just don't want TCM to become AMC. But movies made in 2000 - 2003? Simply is too recent - let the other channels handle them for the time being.
You hit the nail on the head though, most older movies are much better then the newer ones which what I have seen in 2009 STINKS !
I can just see the 2010 October Schedule "Zombieland" and "The Unborn" to celebrate Halloween.
Now I understand why I haven't been seeing older posters logging on recently. Probually out somewhere erecting a TCM Memorial Shrine.

Hmm, *missed it* glad I did. Well its now confirmed, TCM stands for Turner Cable Movies.
Other members warned us of this in the past and seemly forgotten threads.
