The 1930's was a different era though. Tommy Gun Temple Wonder how did the audience took to her "mowing down" a bunch of kids against the wall imitating the Saint Valentine's Day Massacre? Shirley actually said later in life that was her true tomboy personality that was suppressed. -

It depends upon the channel / network. Can expect editing in family oriented programming i.e. the mentioned MeTV and INSP. More likely you're just noticing. -
Invisible shoes? Got to thinking, wouldn't a person get hypothermia even while invisible? Alternate title could had been "Fear Being Frozen to Death".
