Speaking of Shirley, she's playing with an O gauge Zephyr in "Captain January" (1936)

The movie "Public Enemies" (2009) has the Milwaukee Road 261 during the train station scene. It was restored and put into excursions. I give anything it pays my area a visit. The Nickel Plate Road 765 was the last to come though my area a few years ago. It's in the movie "Matewan" (1987), the locomotive heading dead on towards the viewer right after the Sid Hatfield carrying the murdered teenager scene.

This thread was last replied to in 2002, the posters are no longer here. About Speedy, yeah a character that out runs, out wits it's pursuers is racist.

The Cast Of 12 Angry Men In Other Films
hamradio replied to Det Jim McLeod's topic in General Discussions
Here's something interesting since we're on the 12 Angry Men subject.... "6 Angry Women" (2016) Film Synopsis: A young, unarmed black teenager is shot by a white neighborhood watchman. It is up to a jury of six to decide whether or not the man is guilty of murder. Inheriting the classic 12 Angry Men and shadowing the incendiary current events of police brutality, racial profiling and civil rights, 6 Angry Women – done with an improvised script – presents the jury deliberation of six women, strangers brought together by their civil duty, each seeking to do the right thing. But the ultimate question looms for each of them to answer: what is justice vs. what is legal? https://www.southarts.org/touring-arts/southern-circuit/previous-southern-circuit-tours/2016-17-tour-schedule/6-angry-women/ -

I I got E.T. when it was first released on VHS in 1988. Still remember the fanfare about how it's the best anti-pirate copy ever made at the time. The case is a green / black design. I will never part with it. -
A dedicated movie for Aquaman. Thinking about the phrase "sleeping with the fishes" can be taken literally.

Two posters was here on the boards during the late 2000's claiming to be her. Why I have my doubts it was Sybil, there was only one post for each member name that started the separate threads. Didn't make sense. Only remember one of them...goldenasachild. Can't recall the 2nd member name.

She told EVERYTHING in her book including how Humphrey Bogart unzipped his pants, exposing himself to stop the camera. Director..Cut!!!!

I purchased that privately made DVD-R 2 disc set on Ebay thinking Sybil was the singing kid. Didn't know the title was referring to Jolson. The song "I Love To Singa" plus th cartoon satire (Owl Jolson ) made up for it. The other DVD is "The Singing Fool"

I like to make comparison between it and "Little Miss Marker" (1934) which Paramount helped make Shirley Temple a 20th Century star (isn't that a riot). Warner did a lot to HURT Sybil Jason by having too much violence in a film that suppose to center on making a 5 year old (yes she was THAT young) a star which was a turn off to people. Also kicking that little dog to death didn't help either. "Little Miss Marker" was the opposite, a child won over a crime organization that centered on horse race gambling. Even though there was a threat of bodily harm at the end, not a single shot was fired and made Big Steve feel good about himself. What a nice ending....I have good blood. 20th Century Fox hired the best song writers for Shirley, Sybil was given far less quality material. I don't blame Sybil for failing but Warner whom blew it big time. What's that's again about the phrase first impression?

TCM is airing this RARE movie tonight at 12:30 AM Tuesday. it is not available on video, so this is an opportunity to record it. I already done so along with 3 others when TCM aired them on her birthday several years ago. RIP Sybil

"Mortal Engines", this has to be the dumbest plot ever, all the remaining world cities are put on wheels. Should I go ahead and list in in the Worst Movies You Ever Seen thread and be done with it? Watch out, don't let London crash into you. Bet insurance rates are a ****.

This is one of my top 10 worst..."Battle of Los Angeles" (2011) don't confuse it with the other movie "Battle Los Angeles" which I like. This should explain everything. So this is the head alien. Stupid thing!

It's called green bar which is in use today. It evolved from the teleprinter paper that resembles a roll of paper towels. Would you believe they STILL sell it! The first computer terminal

THE GARBAGE PAIL KIDS MOVIE (1987) on TCM
hamradio replied to TopBilled's topic in General Discussions
Strange and weird doesn't even cover this. Hope that nurse didn't got splinters while delivering. Question, if someone comes along and picked before they're ready, is that an abortion? -
So far no post from last night, must not have been THAT bad.
