  1. The latter. Lucky I remember it from 40 years ago. The opening title Doubt people care if a 50 year old women did a hula dance in 78. The only reason "The Little Rascals" got away with it, there was no hip grinding.
  2. There is but the Search failed to find it. Only came across threads observing those turning 100 and some individual birthdays.. Wish the web designers improve on the Search function and get rid of that annoying <Time out> error. Like add, the Search results gives you stuff one is NOT looking for.
  3. The 140th commandment, Do not eat any abominable thing, whether unclean meat or blemished Offerings. (Deuteronomy 14:3) Didn't know they had this back then.
  4. Long time ago, think it was from the old "That's Hollywood" TV series around 1978, Shirley Temple did a provocative hula dance scene that was deleted from one of her films. Can't find the deleted scene (video).
  5. She looks like the grand daughter of the head Keebler elf.
  6. Crying out loud moderator, Dargo's pic was not offensive. As a precaution, everyone avoid posting Coppertone ads.
  7. A shame modern trendies can't appreciate the simple aspect of the original cartoon. Boris Karloff's narration is splendid. But like everything else today regarding films, MUST be updated with CGI.
  8. It is a bit hard to beat the Jim Carrey Grinch character. Movie had great one liners. Tells the story how the Grinch came to be. One thing's a mystery, what exactly is he? An alien?
  9. Mickey Mouse turns 90: Pictures of the beloved character through the years https://www.standard.co.uk/news/world/pictures-of-mickey-mouse-through-the-years-as-cartoon-turns-90-a3992851.html https://disney.co.uk/mickey-mouse
  10. "Smokey and The Bandit" (1977) Buford T. Justice...You sumb_tches couldn't close an umbrella.
  11. Had a hard time finding the info, I gave the imdb link for verification. According to imdb, Sally was the uncredited victim. She does look like Elissa. If imdb is wrong then how can we trust them for uncredited info? Here is another link with Sally Rand. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0023470/mediaviewer/rm3963374592
  12. Movie has a serious error....there are 613. https://www.gospeloutreach.net/613laws.html http://www.jewfaq.org/10.htm Excerpt.. There are 613 commandments, not 10 The "Ten Commandments" are categories The 10 are divided into duties to G-d and duties to people Different religions divide the 10 in different ways
  13. I found it hard to fathom a glow in the dark Marlon Brando taking first billing over the Man of Steel. Who does he think he is?
  14. What gave people back then the impression men like Noah and Moses had a long white beard and is in line for a hip implant? Odd how an atheist may had hit this one on the button (what it takes to build something the size of a small aircraft carrier) Not bad for a guy doing 600 and counting. "Noah" Want a piece of me? Moses in "Gods and Kings" going on 80 and need no geriatric supplements.
  15. Charlie was inspired by Hitler dancing around his globe. Maybe Hitler saw the movie first. https://blog.ultimateglobes.com/2013/08/the-globe-that-inspired-charlie-chaplin.html Some idiot payed 65,000 for a globe that is dented with a bullet hole in it. (and it's grossly outdated as well)
  16. Almost forgot about last night... "Deepwater Horizon" (2016) Had no idea things happened so fast and how everything escalated before anyone knew how to react.
  17. That's what the label on the gif indicated. Thanks, I'll correct.
  18. Benedict Cumberbatch drinking tea in the movie "Small Island". Ioan Gruffudd in "Forever"
  19. Lorne Greene from "Bonanza" Yeah real men drink tea / coffee.
