  1. Yes, Time Warner is, to use your word, "crappy" (I'd've chosen an unprintable one!). There are also frequent syncronization problems, too--last night during "I Could Go On Singing" for instance. I can't seem to ever be able to really ENJOY a picture anymore. Every time I put on a movie, or watch a dvd recorded from the night before, I sit there thinking, "Is it going to start? Is it going to happen again? Huh? Is it?? IS IT??? THERE! What was that? There it goes...THERE IT GOES!!! AAAAAAAAARGH!!!!" And then I switch to CNN.
  2. Is anyone else experiencing horrendous technical problems with TCM on Time Warner Cable in New York City? My picture frequently breaks up, becomes all digitized, freezes, etc., rendering the movies completely unwatchable. Last night was the last straw, as "Escape" was absolutely unbearable! I was near tears, having wanted to see that picture for a long long time. For FIVE years I have been trying to resolve these issues, and no one can pinpoint or fix the problem. It seems the problem is ONLY with TCM--I've never observed such problems on other channels. If anyone is experiencing these problems--or more importantly--experienced them in the past and had them resolved, PLEASE let me know! Many thanks.
