Underrated: To Have and Have Not, the Carry On movies, Guns at Batasi

I'm thrilled! I will FINALLY get all the Lupe Velez 'Mexican Spitfire' movies on my DVR! Since seeing the first Mexican Spitfire movie, and seeing just what a **** Lupe Velez was, I'm very grateful that TCM is showing all of them. Thanks TCM!

So I'm watching 'Murder By Contract' tonight, and when Vince Edwards goes to California for the big hit, he's riding from the airport in a convertible. The music playing in the background is the exact same music that played on 'The Beverly Hillbillies' whenever pretty girls would drive up to the Clampett mansion or Elly May was lounging out by the pool. I don't know how they picked that music for the Hillbillies, but it DID make me think of California when I heard it in the movie.
