They see to repeat the same films over and over which is unfortunate with their rich classic film library.
-
Could it be " The Leopard Man" (1943)?
-
Kerwin Mathews is very good in this "Diabolique" type thriller written by Jimmy Sangster and directed by Michael Carreras.
-
And when are they releasing a DVD?!
-
Gable and Dietrich would have been a hot couple.
-
They were selling the stars not the film like the "Spellbound" posters which does not even hint at that movies thriller aspect.
-
A lovely, romantic poster- these two were indeed STARS!
-
Great idea !

This is an almost perfect blend of comedy and horror. Baker's Oscar winning make-up is still impressive specially the living corpse. There are some very interesting behind the scene extras. Beware of the moon!
-
How many special editions this film needs?!
-
'The Heiress" is about sex- what was Monty selling Olivia if not a pretty face and a good time in bed?!
-
You could be thinking of Karel Zeman's " The Fabulous World of Jules Verne (1958) which combine live action actors with animated sets and props.
-
Talk about false advertising! They make is look like the story of some slutty tease and a bad magician.
-
If you like classic Universal horror its worth a look.

Russell is very good in "Gypsy" - Lucy is good in the comedy bits in "Mame"- she simply did not have the voice to pull off the songs. Hepburn is enchanting in "My Fair Lady"- I imagine Warners was spending so much money in that production they needed a movie star in the lead. ( they also wanted Gary Grant as Higgins but he turned it down) Nothing here compares to the monumental mistake of casting Daniel Day Lewis in "Nine"
-
In Jerry Herman's biography he details the nightmare of making the Lucy produced "Mame".
-
BIG men in small planes!? Who came up with that ad line?!
-
This is a perfect example of movie posters as fine art.
-
I saw this movie when it played on PBS- there was nothing in it that now kids get on their average CW show.
-
" The Remains of The Day" is wonderful- "The Golden Bowl" is beautiful to look at but the formula is bit obvious.
-
I imagine someone on TCM realizes that they have a big gay audience and this is a classic documentary about gay life. It would have been more interesting to show " The Boys in the Band" before and modern gay film like "Shelter" after.
-
Of course the gangs in " West Side Story" are not realistic- its a MUSICAL- one of the best ever produced in any medium.
-
I really enjoyed this old fashion underwater adventure- which looks like something Irwin Allen might have produced- the FX were effective specially that scary giant eel- and of course there is that Bond girl scientist who managed to bring plenty of costume changes.
-
The Talbot as actor back story never goes anywhere- unless they left some stuff on the cutting room floor. I wonder if they will ever produce a direct to dvd sequel- " Son of the Wolfman" ?!

"Maniac" (1963)

Kerwin Mathews will always be Simbad but it's interesting to see him in a more contemporary sexually charged role.
