Perhaps it was "The Shuttered Room" (1967) with Gig Young, Carol Lynley and Oliver Reed
-
I agree the story was too familiar but Pandora was a brilliantly realized alien world.
-
The future men are wimps but the women are all sexy- no wonder they needed Rod Taylor to show up and take off his shirt.
-
It should get Best Director, Best Sound and Best Editing.
-
That Kerina chick looked hot and dangerous. Kyle you have really outdone yourself with these selection of camp classics!
-
If anyone wants to see a really modern, sexy take on gladiators the you must check out "Spartacus; Blood and Sand " on Starz- imagine "300" meets "Caligula" and you get some idea of this campy guilty pleasure.
-
The best modern war movie since " Black Hawk Down" and intense suspenseful study of men doing a dangerous job.
-
In the 70's these films would play constantly on a couple of my local channels.
-
Its a very well produced movie and nothing tops that opening battle scene. If you grew up watching the classic movie epics it's not that impressive when you think that something like " The Fall of the Roman Empire" which was ( along with "Spartacus" ) the obvious inspiration for the script used real 3 dimensional sets and a living cast of thousand.

"The Graduate" is perfect movie. I
-
Its a good Saturday afternoon movie.
-
You could always buy them on DVD
-
Who is holding Eve? King Kong? The Amazing Colossal Man?! or Alexander Leeds the Eminent Hygiene Commentator?!
-
The Oscars show is a guilty pleasure. It's always fun to make fun of the most ridiculous dressed star and not too mention the bizarre Oscar choices.
-
Landis looks a bit too relaxed and glamorous for a woman who is running away from dinosaurs.
-
Is the Best Picture Oscar honoring the over all production or the best quality ?
-
I just saw " The Hurt Locker" on DVD it deserves to win Best Picture, Best Director, Best Sound and specially Best Editing. Jeremy Renner gives a very good performance in the lead a bomb expert who might love his job a bit too much.
-
You can wait for the DVD.
-
And a fine fine looking woman.
-
Hoffman was more Jack Benny than Truman.
-
Cameron is a very old fashion story teller who uses cutting edge technology. He started out as special effects guy for Roger Corman. He obviously knows how to create spectacles that connect with a huge world wide audience.
-
Actually it should be playing at your local multiplex at this very moment.
-
Yes its a bad movie but it is fun to watch. Wood does treats Lugosi with respect in "Plan 9"
-
Its "The Terminator" with Angels!

"Nine" 2009

Daniel Day Lewis is NOT Marcello Mastroianni which is why the movie musical fails.
