That sounds like William Castles classic "Homicidal" (1961)
-
CGI effects are tricky- sometimes they look great sometimes they look like crap. In many ways "Titanic" is a traditional Hollywood epic. Cameron wanted Charlton Heston to play the Captain of the doomed ship which would have linked it directly to the classic era.
-
Heath Ledger should have won for "Brokeback Mountain"
-
The special effects Oscar given to the crappy 70's "King Kong " re-make.
-
This is a outstanding production with superior art direction, costume and special effects.
-
Sabu was a unique figure in film history and yes the Kordas were masters filmmakers.
-
You would think that after the tragic death of Heath Ledger youth in Hollywood culture would be become more aware of the dangers of all drugs; sadly this is a story that will be repeated in the future...

These posters are so cool! They are often more fun than the actual movie.

Dean Jagger giving the speech is a good idea- but I think the entire speech should have been dropped.
-
John Huston's "An Open Book"
-
A masterpiece of fantasy film making and glorious example of color photography.
-
"Crash" for Best Picture.
-
For a while there was a plan for Denzel Washington /Whitney Huston remake- (this was before she became a crack addict and lost her voice)

I have the IMBD app the excellent Flixster app both free.

Low expectations is always a good rule when going to see movie these days....
-
The trailer for the new movie looks promising.
-
Like all terrible movies the problem is the script- the film builds up to this preposterous speech warning youth about the evils of communism which is never actually bothers to show.

She is a terrific director.

This sort of anti-commie propaganda works best when its disguised as science fiction.
-
"The Green Slime" (1968) Richard Jackel and Luzinna Paluzzi battle intergalactic mutations aboard a space station.
-
What no " The Green Slime" ?!
-
He has to be played by an actor who is convincing as young fireman: Matt Damon, Ben Foster, Jake Gyllenhaal.
-
Uncle Charlie was a serial killer. Yes looking at the film now you can understand why John turned into a commie.
-
Obviously the Edgar Rice Burrough state doesn't care about their classic properties. Cheap studio The Assylum has just produced a direct to DVD version of this sci-fi adventure with Antonio Sabato Jr and Tracie Lords.

Plan 9 Colorized
in Science Fiction
Posted
No adding color to this schlock masterpiece does not make it better. Ed Wood had ambition, imagination but unfortunately lacked the budget for his sci-fi horror epic. I love the way one set is used over and over again for a plane cockpit, a space stating corridor and a flying saucer. How the advance alien race's technology could have been picked up at a junk yard.
