Holly will direct the film from her own script, which is a new adaptation of the story of Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow rather than a remake of the 1967 classic film starring Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty. Holly began working on the project after reading old newspaper articles about the gangster pair in an abandoned house on her family's property. Holly wrote, produced and directed the feature "When I Find the Ocean." "The Story of Bonnie and Clyde" is set to lense in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. Natalie Canerday and Rance Howard will also star. Duff was most recently seen in "War, Inc." Zegers most recently starred in "Fifty Dead Men Walking." -

_Per Wikipedia_: *_Production_ - _Spellbound_ (1945)* Spellbound caused major contention between Alfred Hitchcock and producer David O. Selznick. Hitchcock's contract with Selznick began in March 1939, but only resulted in three films, Rebecca (1940) and The Paradine Case (1947) being the other two. Selznick wanted Hitchcock to make a movie based upon Selznick's own positive experience with psychoanalysis. Selznick even brought in his therapist, May Romm M.D., who was credited in the film as a technical advisor. Dr. Romm and Hitchcock clashed frequentl

The other night I was flipping across the different Encore Channels (Mystery, Romance, etc.), I came across this very strange horror film called: _Nothing But the Night_ (1973) (AKA: _The Devil's Undead_.) with Christopher Lee & Peter Cushing. Also staring in the film are: Michael Gambon, Diana Dors & Peter Sasdy. Directed by: Peter Sasdy. I told my partner when the names "Christopher Lee & Peter Cushing" appear on screen, expect a freaky little British Horror/Thriller film...I.E. _The Wicker Man_ (1973)! Very strange, twisted film. I never had seen it before, & I thought I had seen "MOST" films with Christopher Lee & Peter Cushing! Not a lot of info on the film when U search for it under the name, _Nothing But the Night_ (1973). But under a title previously used in some markets when the film was called: _The Devil's Undead_ (1975)..then there is a lot of information on the film!. I strange mixture of The Wicker Man (1973) & ...Uh Oh I don't know _The Children of the Corn_ (1984). *Needs to be seen to be believed!* *_THE PLOT_:* Based on the novel _Children of the Night_ by John Blackburn -- stars the ubiquitous Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing as a Scotland Yard inspector and a forensics expert sent to investigate a series of mysterious deaths among the elderly caretakers of a Scottish orphanage. Their probing uncovers a diabolical plot perpetrated by members of a Satanic cult, involving the use of an experimental serum which contains the genetic memories of its departed members. The caretakers have been injecting the serum into their young charges in order to use their bodies as healthy vessels for the Satanists' return, and the resulting possession transforms them into sadistic murderers. WOW! What a strange twist story! A very strange psychological thriller.

I'd like to pose a question: What makes a classic movie lover?
CelluloidKid replied to h_cue's topic in General Discussions
What makes "me" a classic movie lover is the passion, the drive and my love of film....That as a film buff, a movie geek, call me what U will..But we "Those wonderful people out there in the dark!"...Keep the Gods alive! We are the people who remember the films, actors, directors, etc. from the "Golden Age" of Hollywood, & keep their memory alive! Keep in mind, I'm in my late 30's...I grew up in the age of No Home Computers, NO IPOD'S, No Cell Phones, No DVD's or Blu-ray!! I was the 1st kid on my block to have MTV when it debuted! So I grew up watching old films (Classics...However U want to define "Classic Film!?") on VHS, the late ..late..show....On PBS when PBS "USED" to show old films W./Bette Davis, Joan Crawford, Humphrey Bogart, etc!. So with the new age of "DVD"/"Blu-ray" there are alot more classic films becoming available that were never available on VHS, or when they were at a better picture quality and sound etc, it's a movie buff's dream come true!! & then I also love current cinema! I watch all kinds of films! I attend (Starz) Denver Film Festival & the The Phoenix Film Festival every year. So I keep a very open-mind! My My love of film (All thing s art, music, books etc!!) came form my mother and my wonderful up bringing! I was raisied a Air Force Baby Brat, only child, So my youth was always spent in front of a movie screen, Being a military brat it was hard to make friends. You moved all the time, sometimes you never stayed more than a month. so friendships never lasted....but OMG!!!...The movies lasted!!!...Those wonderful images that flickered on the screen! Movies make you cry, laugh, ****, tired, excited, scared and more. ..& well the movies take it away for a moment or two. For those brief moments in front a movie screen you are a new person, you see great things, learn about life etc! Trust me I love a good book, I usually read 1 a week, I rarely watch TV ( I never have watched: Heroes, House, Brothers & Sisters) I much prefer the History Channel, The travel Channel, the news, E!, my encore film channels, and Yes my TCM! After my mother passed (I''m now an orphan, but I have been married to a wonderful man for the past 10 yrs.).....TCM became my shelter from the world when I had to shut down etc! My mother was the one person who introduced me to film! She loved Audry Hepburn, Vincent Price, Jean Harlow, Barbara Stanwyck, Cary Grant & Bette Davis, Rita Hayworth, & Elvis too!. My mother introduced to me to her favorite directors. Everyone from William Castle to Billy Wilder. My Mother introduced me to a wide range and variety of films. From the age of 6 or 7, up till I moved out of my mom's house when I graduated high school at 18, I watched everything from _Sunset Blvd._ (1950), _Breakfast at Tiffany's_ (1961) all the way to _Valley of the Dolls_ (1967) & beyond!....& though out my childhood & after I was grown & married, she encouraged me to go out and find my own films, etc! My mom & I (Up till she passed) would meet once a week for dinner and film, either a rental or on the big screen! I just love film! *_Favorite Genre_:* *_Favorite Actors/Actresses_: (Modern Cinema)* Christian Bale, Kate Winslet, Sidney Poitier, Toni Collette, Ewan McGregor, Julianne Moore, Russell Crowe, Sharon Stone, Annette Benning, Daniel Craig, Pam Grier, Joaquin Phoenix, Michael Douglas, Ed Harris, Terrence Howard, Bruce Campbell, Kevin Spacey, Kathleen Turner , Jack Lemmon, Steve McQueen, Sigourney Weaver, Catherine Deneuve, Brad Renfro, Julia Roberts, Burt Rynolds, Jason Statham. *_My Favorite Actors/Actresses_ (Golden Age of Hollywood):* Joan Crawford, Clark Gable, Barbara Stanwyck, Bela Lugosi, Marilyn Monroe, Vincent Price, Bette Davis, Richard Burton, Jean Harlow, Robert Mitchum, Charles Coburn, Montgomery Clift, Jimmy Stewart, Grace Kelly, Elsa Lanchester, Fred MacMurray, Thelma Ritter, Doris Day, Cary Grant, William Holden, Franchot Tone, Lana Turner, Norma Shearer, Gene Kelly, Jan Sterling. *_MY Favorite Directors_:* George Cuckor, Quentin Tarantino, Douglas Sirk, Robert Altman, Cameron Crowe, Fedrico Fellini, Norman Jewison, Paul Thomas Anderson, Peter Bogdanovich, Billy Wilder, Tim Burton, Danny Boyle, John Carpenter, Michael Curtiz, Martin Scorsese, Pedro Almodovar, James Gray, Oliver Stone, Vincent Sherman, Darren Aronofsky, Wes Anderson, Roman Polanski, The Coen Brother's, Jean-Luc Godard, William Castle, Alfred Hitchcock, Guy Ritchie. *_My Favorite Films_:* (not in stone!) Captain Blood came second as a write-in nomination in 1936

*_Oscar Trivia_:* The youngest person to ever receive an Oscar was 5-year-old Shirley Temple - in 1934. (However, Shirley's Oscar was an honorary one. The youngest actress to win a standard Oscar was Tatum O'Neal, who was 10 years old when she won the Best Supporting Actress award for "Paper Moon" in 1974.) George Burns was the oldest Oscar winner when he won as Best Supporting Actor for "The Sunshine Boys." at age 80 (in 1976). But that mark was later surpassed by Jessica Tandy, who won her Best Actress Oscar at age 81 for "Driving Miss Daisy." The oldest actor to win the Oscar for Best Actor was Henry Fonda, for "On Golden Pond". He was 76. -
