Last night (09/22/08) on Encore Love (I believe!?) around 02am...I was flipping channles & came across the film: _The Last Married Couple in America_ W./ George Segal and Natalie Wood! Very funny fiilm, even if I came into in the middle. Yes a very dated in some parts, other times echos another time and era, but still fun to watch. Valerie Harper is so over the top at times. (Yes, I have seen it before, it's 1 of my fav Natalie Wood films!)

"Laura" ....He just says good by to ..well Laura. The clock being broken shows his life ended. But that is just me! "Rebel Without A Cause"...The beginning of _Rebel Without A Cause_ showed the end of childhood. & there was no connection! -
U have the soundtrack...I'm sooo jealous! LOL! It was my birthday on 09/21 & about 01:00am on 09/22 I was just about to go to bed when I stumbled right into the film...I only missed 1 minute of it. Well thanks Mr Mitchum, I stayed up for the entire film.....great little film. The ending reminded me of _Chinatown_. Still a twisted film in parts! I just loved Robert Michum's narration through out!

*I watched _Farewell, My Lovely_ (1975) for the 1st time last night on Encore Mystery! Very Sad this film is out-of-print! Damn Good film!* *Robert Mitchum plays private detective Philip Marlowe is asked by a surly ex-convict, Moose Malloy, (Jack O'Halloran) to investigate the disappearance of his old girlfriend Velma, a dancer and part-time prostitute. Robert Mitchum deadpans his way through Los Angeles' seamy underside in, ostensibly, the early 1940s.* *I loved Charlotte Rampling channeling Lauren Bacall!* *Another film in the Mitchum cannon not to be missed!!! However the problem is, the film can't be found on DVD since it's OOP! :L(*
