  3. I love Thelma Ritter! She was a blast to watch. She stole entire movies from her Co-Stars when she came on screen! Being a huge film buff, I always talk about my favorite films etc. Well 1 day I was sitting in my grief group talking about my mother who had passed away, & this gal asked me to describe my mother, I thought about it, & I said "My mom always reminded me of Thelma Ritter!". Thelma had that rare quality of being tough and sweet all in one. I loved her sardonic sense of humor, & oh I loved her banter W./Better Davis in "_All About Eve_". My other fav Thelma performances besides "The Misfits" was in "_Pillow Talk_". I also liked her in "_Bird Man of Alcatraz_"! Her performance in "_Pickup on South Street_" brings me to tears everytime! A great character actress! Filmography: 1968 - What's So Bad About Feeling Good 1967 - The Incident 1965- Boeing (707) Boeing (07) 1963 - Move Over, Darling 1963 - A New Kind of Love 1963 - For Love or Money 1962 - How the West Was Won 1961 - Bird Man of Alcatraz 1961 - The Second Time Around 1960 - The Misfits 1959 - Pillow Talk 1959 - A Hole in the Head 1956 - The Proud and Profane 1955 - Daddy Long Legs 1954 - Rear Window 1953 - Pickup on South Street 1953 - The Farmer Takes a Wife 1953 - Titanic 1952 - With a Song in My Heart 1951 - The Model and the Marriage Broker 1951 - As Young as You Feel 1951 - The Mating Season 1950 - All About Eve 1950 - I'll Get By 1950 - Perfect Strangers 1949 - Father Was a Fullback 1949 - City Across the River 1949 - A Letter to Three Wives 1947 - Miarcle on 34th Street
  4. *I love Thelma Ritter! Thelma Ritter was nominated for six best supporting actress awards, including nominations four years in a row between 1950 (_All About Eve_) and 1953 ( _Pickup on South Street_ )! I don't think it's a stretch to say that Thelma Ritter was a genius of sorts.* *_Filmography:_* 1968 - What's So Bad About Feeling Good 1967 - The Incident 1965- Boeing (707) Boeing (07) 1963 - Move Over, Darling 1963 - A New Kind of Love 1963 - For Love or Money 1962 - How the West Was Won 1961 - Bird Man of Alcatraz 1961 - The Second Time Around 1960 - The Misfits 1959 - Pillow Talk 1959 - A Hole in the Head 1956 - The Proud and Profane 1955 - Daddy Long Legs 1954 - Rear Window 1953 - Pickup on South Street 1953 - The Farmer Takes a Wife 1953 - Titanic 1952 - With a Song in My Heart 1951 - The Model and the Marriage Broker 1951 - As Young as You Feel 1951 - The Mating Season 1950 - All About Eve 1950 - I'll Get By 1950 - Perfect Strangers 1949 - Father Was a Fullback 1949 - City Across the River 1949 - A Letter to Three Wives 1947 - Miarcle on 34th Street

  7. As I stated I wouldn't call Dragonwyck (1946) a "Horror" film! More like a victorian gothic thriller? A look at long vanished class system. (The bourgeoisie as opposed to aristocratic origin?!) Mabey even a psychological thriller!? Strange film. Very haunting!
  8. *What about Terrence Howard! Now there is an actor....!* *Will Smith is Garbage compared to Terrence Howard!!!* Per Wikipedia: Terrence Dashon Howard (born March 11, 1969) is an Academy Award-nominated American film and stage actor, and singer. Having appeared in film and on television since the late 1980s, Howard had his first major role in the 1995 film _Mr. Holland's Opus_, which subsequently led to a number of roles in films and high visibility among African American audiences. Howard broke into the mainstream with a succession of well-reviewed television and film roles between 2004 and 2006, among them _Ray_, L_ackawanna Blues_, _Crash_, _Four Brothers_, _Hustle & Flow_, _Get Rich or Die Tryin_', _Idlewild_, and most recently, _Iron Man_. His debut pop album, "_Shine Through It_," heavily inspired by popular soul singers such as Marvin Gaye and Curtis Mayfield, was released in September 2008. *I LOVE Terrence Howard!* *Damn good actor!* *I really never thought Will Smith could act his way out of a paper bag! 16. *Will invest in 3-D conversion technology* By Thomas K. Arnold Sept 12, 2008 Legend Films, a San Diego-based entertainment and digital media company, has closed on a $5 million stock offering and will use the money to invest in its new 3-D conversion technology, its home entertainment and Web 2.0 businesses. The lead investor in the stock purchase was Augustus Ventures, with participation by Legend's largest shareholder, Boston equity fund Par Investment Partners. Legend has partnered with digital imaging firm Passmorelab to develop technology and processes for converting standard 2-D film and video into stereoscopic 3-D, both in theaters and in homes. Legend Films founder Barry Sandrew said the conversion process is an "outgrowth" of the company's restoration and colorization of classic films and video. Most recently, Legend produced Paramount's 2007 color release of "_It's a Wonderful Life_," with "_Holiday Inn_" coming Oct. 14, 2008 from Universal. Legend also recently acquired the exclusive DVD distribution rights to 38 feature films never before available on DVD, which it will self-distribute to retail, largely through such key accounts as Best Buy, Target and Amazon. Legend also has launched an interactive site, RiffTrax.com, where consumers can download commentaries from "_Mystery Science Theater 3000_" star Michael J. Nelson and others and listen to them in sync with their own DVDs or downloaded movie content. RiffTrax's latest feature is iRiffs, where users can upload their own commentaries on any movie and sell them to fans worldwide.
