  1. Henry Daniell was in the film _The Man in the Gray Flannel Suit_ W./Gregory Peck! NEW STAR: Gregory Peck!
  2. I love the film "_The Man Who Never Was_". The film is about Operation 'Mincemeat', a 1943 British Intelligence plan to deceive the Axis powers into thinking Operation 'Husky', the Allied invasion of Sicily, would take place elsewhere. The film stars Clifton Webb in one of his best film roles. I actually bought this film several years back. It's a film that I pull out every once in a while. It's a film where sometimes truth is stranger than fiction (_Joyeux No?l_ (2005) comes to mind!). I'm not going to give to much away, just watch and be surprised.

  4. 12 "You wouldn't believe all the things I can hide in this hair!!".
  5. I'm not saying sorry for "_The Hunt For Red October_", I though it was crap!! I guess Sean Connery needed to pay the rent!
  6. *Well _Catwoman_ (2004) is considered the worst...* _Per Wikipedia:_ Based on the DC Comics character and starring Halle Berry, the film retains next to nothing of the Batman antagonist and the source material. In the movie, Catwoman has actual superpowers, which she lacks in the comics. The lycra catsuit was replaced with slashed leather pants, a bra, and a mask-cap, and she leaps from rooftop to rooftop in stiletto heels. As the movie character differs so widely from her comic source, the character has been cited as "Catwoman In Name Only". It has a 9% rating at Rotten Tomatoes and was declared "arguably the worst superhero film ever made" by the Orlando Sentinel. The Florida Times-Union (Jacksonville) put it this way: "Me-ouch!" It is the winner of four Razzies for Worst Picture, Worst Actress, Worst Director (Pitof), and Worst Screenplay. Berry arrived at the ceremony to accept her Razzie in person (with her Best Actress Oscar for Monster's Ball in hand), saying: "First of all, I want to thank Warner Brothers. Thank you for putting me in a piece of ****, god-awful movie . . . It was just what my career needed." *...ROL....I love that quote!!!* *& what about _Inchon_ (1982) (I myself would love to see this film just to see how bad it really is!)* Although the movie had a cast of prominent stars, including Laurence Olivier (during the twilight of his film career, in which he had taken many critically panned roles. This was due to Olivier's failing health, meaning he could no longer act on stage, and so only films were left), this war epic "won" four Razzies: Worst Picture, Worst Actor (Olivier), Worst Director (Terence Young), and Worst Screenplay. It was named Worst Movie of the Year by Esquire. This movie was also criticized for being financed and produced by the Unification Church, and UC head Sun Myung Moon was a "special advisor" to the film. It has never been released on video or DVD.
  7. The list I compiled "movies that are bad, flops or downright turkeys"...were based on my own films that I didn't care for. Movies that I paid to see and just was disappointed in or felt the actor had to pay his or her rent & well this is the film they choose to make. My partner is a huge fan of the film "The Hunt for Red October", but I never thought it was something to jump up and shout about. My partner owns all 4 Jack Ryan films which were: "_The Hunt for Red October_", "_Patriot Games_" & "_Clear and Present Danger_" & "_The Sum of All Fears_". Myself, I thought they were all dull, and nothing more than silly action pictures. As for "_The Hunt for Red October_" The film received negative critical reviews from many major publications upon its theatrical release but was one of the top grossing movies of the year. & I say say "So What, it still doesn't make for a good film!'. Other films I would add to the list of movies that are bad, flops or downright turkeys:.... What about _"Paint Your Wagon_"...LOL! Richard Burton - Doctor Faustus, Exorcist II: The Heretic, The Medusa Touch Halle Berry - Catwoman, Perfect Stranger, Gothika, Swordfish. George Clooney - Batman and Robin, The Peacemaker, Solaris Michael Caine - The Swarm, Beyond the Poseidon Adventure, Jaws: The Revenge Pia Zadora - The Lonely Lady Burt Reynolds - Cannonball Run II, Smokey and the Bandit 2 & 3, The Dukes of Hazzard Demi Moore - Parasite, The Butcher's Wife, Passion of Mind, Half Light John Wayne - The Conqueror, The Barbarian and the Geisha, The Greatest Story Ever Told

  13. Just love dialogue like: Baroness Teri von Horhenfels: Oh, they're too heavenly! This necklace--where did you get it? Robber: At a charity ball. Baroness Teri von Horhenfels: What courage! Robber: No, merely nimble fingers. The lady stood beside me. The Prince of Wales was announced. I could have removed her dress. OR: Baroness Teri von Horhenfels: I'm curious to know how you were led astray. Robber: Well, I began life as a little boy. Baroness Teri von Horhenfels: I'm glad to hear you kept to the same sex. Robber: Yes, it's a family tradition. I Still loved it at the end of the film when Baroness Teri von Horhenfels (Kay Francis) says she is going to Nice & as the scene fades to black she gives a little wink!
  14. thatch.... _The Little Hut_ (1957) *NEW WORD: Atomosophobia!*
  15. Regis Toomey was in _Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea_ W./Walter Pidgeon! *NEW STAR: Walter Pidgeon!*
  16. *I read somewhere on the internet Or in a book, that there was a contest to promote the film. The winner got to keep in island in his or her name. I saw the item either on the internet or in a book* *Ohhhhhh LQQK!.! In the very bottom left-hand corner of the film poster you can see "Winner Gets Island in the Pacific Ocean! I wonder who won and what happend to him or her !?* *'The Little Hut" was shot at the Cinecitt? Studios in Rome.* *_Per Wikipedia_: (Interesting!)* *The script of _The Little Hut_ was written by the French writer Andr? Roussin, based on his own play La petite hutte (1947). Both play and script are a plagiarism of another play in Catalan. Written by the novelist and playwright Carles Soldevila (1892-1967): _Civilitzats tanmateix_ (_Nevertheless civilized_) (1921). This play was known in France through a translation by Adolphe de Faigairolle and Francesc Presas, published in 1927 in the magazine _Candide_.* *_Enjoy!!_ :LO)*

  20. Anyone else watch "The Little Hut" (09/05/08) last night? Strange film, very funny. I wish Hollywood would re-make this, since in 1957 W./the censorship and codes the director Mark Robson couldn't push the lines. Despite the much-touted scenes of Ava Gardner in a skimpy negligee, the film version of "The Little Hut" is about as racy as Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm. Ava Gardner, Stewart Granger and David Niven were just fun to watch. & Ava was so gorgeous!
