Hush, Sweet Charlotte" "Limbo" (Another WOW ending of a fil that haunts me to this day...this is 1 film to see, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio stars!) "Blood Simple" "Double Indemnity" "The Skeleton Key" (Another Anti-Happy Holywood ending! Kate Hudson wasn't tha tbad in this film.) "Haute tension" (Twisty French horror film) "Diaboliques, Les" from 1955, the Re-Make W./Sharon Stone was not so bad either!) "Basic Instinct" "The Village" "Friday the 13th" (1980) (Come on ....! The 1st time you found it was the mother, man that was shocking, then the ending also made me jump!) "The Manchurian Candidate" from 1962! I agree with the "Crying Game"! "The Departed"..WOW! -
Saw this interesting article at Movieweb.com ..I thouht it might interest some of you know, a conversational topic! Should this be Re-Made?? Was it that bad? Or Was the Orginial any good? After all, Arnold Schwarzenegger got Nominated for a "Razzie Award" for "Worst Actor" in "Conan the Barbarian".! Bloody Disgusting have confirmed 100% that Rob Zombie has been meeting with Lionsgate and Nu Image about directing the long gestating Conan remake. Nothing has been signed at this moment, but an announcement is forth coming. The film would revive the original 1982 franchise that starred Arnold Schwarzenegger and was directed by John Milius. While news is light on this front at the moment, we will follow-up with any immediate announcements. Conan has a proposed 2009 release date. Now that the writers' strike has come to an end, this should come together pretty quickly. Friday, February 8th, 2008 I like Trivia about films (Thanks Moive Database for this tidbit!) "Trivia for Conan the Barbarian ": Oliver Stone's script placed the Conan story in a post-apocalyptic future rather than the distant past. This was abandoned and the original timeline was restored.

A Passage to India will be released in a new collectors edition and Blu-Ray version on April 15. We don't have any pricing details or cover art at this time. The film, which was nominated for 10 Academy Awards, stars Peggy Ashcroft, Judy Davis and Alec Guiness. A Passage to India, director David Lean's final film (for which he also received editing credit), breaks no new ground cinematically, but remains an exquisitely assembled harkback to such earlier Lean epics as Doctor Zhivago and Ryan's Daughter. Based on the novel by E. M. Forster, the film is set in colonial India in 1924. Adela Quested (Judy Davis), a sheltered, well-educated British woman, arrives in the town of Chandrapore, where she hopes to experience "the real India". Here she meets and befriends Dr. Aziz (Victor Banerjee), who, despite longstanding racial and social taboos, moves with relative ease and freedom amongst highborn British circles. Feeling comfortable with Adela, Aziz invites her to accompany him on a visit to the Marabar caves. Adela has previously exhibited bizarre, almost mystical behavior during other ventures into the Indian wilderness: this time, she emerges from the caves showing signs of injury and ill usage. To Aziz' horror, he is accused by Adela of **** her. Typically, the British ruling class rallies to Adela's defense, virtually convicting Aziz before the trial ever begins. Though he is eventually acquitted due to lack of evidence (in fact, director Lean never shows us what really happened), Aziz is ruined in the eyes of both the British and his own people-as is Adela. Woven into these proceedings is a subplot involving Adela's elderly travelling companion Mrs. Moore (Peggy Ashcroft), who through a series of plot twists too complex to describe here becomes a heroine of the Indian Independence movement. A Passage to India was nominated for several Academy Awards, scoring wins in the categories of Best Supporting Actress (Peggy Ashcroft) and Best Original Score (Maurice Jarre). A theatrical version of A Passage to India, written by Santha Rama Rau, was previously adapted for television by the BBC in the mid-1970s. Special Features - Commentary with Producer Richard Goodwin - "E.M. Forster: A Profile of an Author" - Elements of Forster's life and some of the main themes within the book are covered in this featurette. - "An Epic Takes Shape" - Cast & Crew talk about the genesis of the project. - "An Indian Affair" - Covers the main period of production over in India. - "Only Connect: A Vision of India" - Covers the whole area of Post Production and also includes the final days of shooting in the studios at Shepperton. - "Casting a Classic" - Priscilla John (Casting Director) talks about casting the film and the challenges of bringing characters from the book to life. - "David Lean: Shooting with the Master" - This featurette takes a look at Lean as a Director with emphasis on this film being the last of his career. - "Reflections of David Lean" - A featurette on David Lean that appeared on the last DVD release

The Aristocats is coming to DVD in a brand new special edition on February 5, 2008, and to celebrate we have an exclusive clip from the new enchanting disc. Take a look: http://www.movieweb.com/dvd/news/53/26253.php The Aristocats was the first Disney Studios animated feature to be produced after Walt Disney's death. A wealthy woman leaves her vast fortune to her four cats: the well-bred Duchess and her kittens, Berlioz, Toulouse, and Marie. Jealous butler Edgar, eager to get his mitts on the cats' legacy, abandons the felines in the French countryside. The four lost kitties are aided in their efforts to return home by the raffish country pussycats Thomas O'Malley and Scat Cat. In keeping with a tradition launched by The Jungle Book (1967), The Aristocats is top-heavy with celebrity voices, including Phil Harris, Eva Gabor, Scatman Crothers, Hermione Baddeley, and the ineluctable Sterling Holloway. Assembled by the "nine old men" then in charge of animation, The Aristocats was a commercial success, essentially proving that {@Disney animated features could succeed without the involvement of the company's founder. Special Features - Deleted Scene - Virtual Kitten Game - Fun with Language Game - The Great Cat Family - 'Bath Day' Short - Sherman Brothers Featurette - Stills - Trailers

Also "The Windmills of Your Mind" from the 1968 film "The Thomas Crown Affair". It won the Academy Award for Best Original Song! Round Like a circle in a spiral Like a wheel within a wheel Never ending or beginning On an ever-spinning reel Like a snowball down a mountain Or a carnival balloon Like a carousel thats turning Running rings around the moon Like a clock whose hands are sweeping Past the minutes of its face And the world is like an apple Whirling silently in space Like the circles that you find In the windmills of your mind -
