One of my favs: George Raft and Ann Sheridan on the phone in "They Drive by Night".
Raft:"Do you believe in love at first sight?" Sheridan: "Well, It saves a lot of time."

You know something that bugged me recently and I wonder if anyone else noticed it. The little piece on TCM about the remakes for " Shop around the corner" and the interview with Meg Ryan. She is talking about the comparison between the original and the remake "you've got mail", and she says," I didn't care for the orignal movie", What the heck did she mean by that? Why did she sign on for a remake of something she didn't like? hmmm...I'm sure the quote is slightly out of context, but still.

" Manos hands of fate", It's so bad it's supberb! I remember watching it on MST3k and getting nauseas because was so awful. YES, it's ripe for a musical.

I could see that easily happening. The writing and Cinematography are so similar.Marlene is awesome though in "Witness", "Wanna kiss me Ducky"?, I think it's one of her best.

I think there are so many reasons that actors are ignored. Memories fading, scandals, The black listing in the Fourties and Fifties, I wonder what it must have been like to walk into a Theatre back in the 30's, sit down and see those credits role with all those great charactor actors names. Everybody must have had there favorites. A little jump must have happened inside those people in the house when they saw a Walter Brennan or an Una Merckel. They must have known that no matter what the picture was about they would have a ball because these charactors were going to be on the screen. But, with time and circumstance what becomes of the memory of these people? My Mom always says when she sees someone I barely recognize in a film that he or she was her favorite. BTW I think Una Merckel ROCKS! She was funny and hot. She was in so many films it's nuts. When did she eat? I gotta go with Joan Blondel as the most underated though. What an amazing career. At one point in '32 she was in something like 9 pictures.

Should offensive dialogue be removed to satisfy political correctness?
