  1. As cool as it is to get Midnight Lace there is a blu ray of it but I dont know how the quality is. I do like the extras on this DVD this is the blu ray link http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FLG6H2S/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=21X36VB8XPXOH&coliid=I2KPJDT5QSN3AF
  2. http://www.hometheaterforum.com/topic/326522-tcmcolumbia-film-noir-classics-iv-improperly-authored-discs/ There appears to be some authoring problems on this set. If anyone gets this from TCM and it is faulty I hope they have a decent return policy. I saw some fans did order it such as myself and then saw this on th HTF thread and was like "oh no !!"
  3. http://www.moviesunlimited.com/musite/product.asp?sku=D06981 Looks like the Philo Vance Collection is coming on 2/15. Movies unlimited has it for pre-order. I wonder if it will be DVD or DVDr
  4. Im picking up Inferno and Brasher Doubloon, good thing these are full screen already and not widescreen so fox cant alter to aspect ration
  5. These Steelbooks are so tempting, but I hate to keeping buying the same movie over and over... ....
  6. Thanks...Also Filmchest is releasing Pitfull. I havent seen this one but it sounds interesting

  8. 70.00 for the Preminger set 90.00 for the Noir Set http://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=195802&page=29
  9. Has TCM considered doing BluRay collector sets ? I have this feeling that some titles in either their vaults or collections may wind up on BluRay. Not every title but maybe something like Mildred Pierce , Them, maybe even some of their Noir set titles... Warner has a lot of stuff planned for 2013
  10. Both Sept. and Oct are going to be *hella* expensive with all of them boxsets coming. I want it all !
  11. Without getting too detailed I will just say I love Murder My Sweet and its in my top 10 favorite noirs. Id watch it more often but Im still doing a ton of viewing movies for the first time
  12. Hello all. After a long haitus I once again now have TCM. Its great to have it back & look forward to watching just about anything that catches my eye these days. Anyway the topic here is about movies that I saw on Amazon.com/Uk that sounded cool but I hadnt heard of any of them *Voice of Merrill* *Forbidden (Douglas Montgomery)* *Golden Salamander* *They Met in the Dark* Has anyone seen these before and are they any good. They do sound good overall but Id hate to order them overseas only to find out they are snoozers None of them are Warner Archive titles to my knowledge or even have USA releases. Have they aired on TCM before ? I dont know if these movies have been discussed before in this forum and I dont want to search endlessly
  13. Yes I read that, I meant at some point would they be available as individual discs. I might get the box set if the price is right - love the design. I wish North by Northwest wasnt on the set since I have the digibook and the DVD from the Hitchcock set which I may part with with movies getting released from it ( Strangers on a Train and Dial M for MONEY
  14. Cool set, I just received an email about it too...I wonder if these will be available seperately or just in a huge box set
  15. Yeah Twilight Times prices are way off the charts and hardly contain any extras - Im really picky too. I own 3 of them. It would be great if they would at least port over the bonus features from the DVDs if they have any - such as Mysterious Island
  16. I wish TCM improve the packaging of their sets. They are stacked partially on top of each other. The plastic things on each edge is not stable. The discs are too loose so they arrive scratched after shipping because they arent fastened in or they are so tightly wedged in the plastic things it take a huge effort to take a disc out. In both the Jean Arthur and Film Noir sets a disc was loose, scratched a little from it. Thank God they played. Im not into scratched DVDs however.. Edited by: TripleHHH on May 27, 2012 1:11 PM
  17. Id like to see an updated list of all the UVC DVDr titles available I saw that Tarantula is out there and the Seven Per Cent solution was as well, I wonder what else is out there that fell under the radar
  18. Conspiracy, Doorway to Hell, Homicide all sound good, but my willpower is strong so Im going to rent them first I dont buy too many things blind anymore unless it is really a sure thing based on my tastes.
  19. Im excited about the Colossus of NY coming to Blu, it already looked great in SD. *Rome Express* I know nothing about it but it is intriging and will rent it first I ordered blindly the movie *Grand Central Murder* to try the new ordering process on the website and it was on sale, plus I like Mystery Noir so why not ??? The ordering on the site seemed, well, the same actually The other one that sounds good is Homicide and House Across the Street but my budget will not let me order no more than one WB Archive a month (if that) Too many great Blu Rays coming out this year ( Gorgo, the 39 Steps, Ed Wood, Indiana Jones, US Marshals, Blade, Chinatown) to name a few
  20. There are more TCM sets coming out in June including a *Legends Joan Crawford s*et in June (these were released in a box set and separetley over the years) with Mildred Pierce, Possessed , etc .. I thought about getting it but it depends on if they carry the same features in the older releases. Something else of interest is coming out too {font:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif}{size:12px}Women in Danger - 1950s Thrillers DVD {font}{font:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif}{size:12px}This sounded so cool I pre-ordered it based on what I read on the films in the set Women in Hiding and Female on the Beach get some rave reviews.. Anyway if this was posted earlier , my aplogies..I dont scroll back too far {font}
  21. I will add Journey to the Center of the Earth is also available on DVD from Fox.
  22. I didnt see any post for this but Twilight Time is releasing on BluRay this May & June # *Journey to the Center of the Earth - (James Mason)* # *The Big Heat ( great Noir ! )* # *The Wayward Bus* # *As Good As It Gets* Im very much looking forward to the first two
  23. I have that film and it stars the Amazing Colossal Man himself Glenn Langan I think one day it will be an MOD from Fox or Sony along with Hand of Death with John Agar
  24. Howdy, Im not sure if there is post of this movie, i am sure there is but i found a fine review of the upcoming MGM MOD release of this cheesy fun classic if anyone was thinking of getting it http://dvddrive-in.com/reviews/a-d/curseoffacelessman58.htm
  25. I ordered a couple of titles..Home Before Dark & Girl Missing / Illicit Too bad the new releases werent included..they all sound interesting and Im going to rent them all.. I did order Woman on the Beach as I have seen it courtesy of Manga DVD ( their import) but wanted the Archive so I dont have to adjust the DVD to not hear Robert Ryan being dubbed in Spanish !
