Queen Elizabeth I: Go back to your rathole! Tell Philip I fear neither him, nor his priests, nor his armies. Tell him if he wants to shake his little fist at us, we're ready to give him such a bite he'll wish he'd kept his hands in his pockets! Don Guerau De Spes: You see a leaf fall, and you think you know which way the wind blows. Well, there is a wind coming, Madame, that will sweep away your pride. Queen Elizabeth I: I, too, can command the wind, sir! I have a hurricane in me that will strip Spain bare when you dare to try me! Elizabeth - The Golden Age Jake in the Heartland

Yes went through some changes in the band's membership. The core four of Jon Anderson, Steve Howe, Alan White and Chris Squire are as talented as any musicians and writers of music on the planet. I do like the album 90125 album with Trevor Rabin's signature. Yes, seems to be an acquired taste but they are truly a great band. They belong in the R&R Hall of Fame, but, sadly, there's a prejuidice against Prog. Bands in that establishment. When greatest guitarist are asked: most don't even include Steve Howe in their top 5. He's one the greatest of all time. For Bass: Chirs Squire...as good as it gets. Alan White on drums does it, too. Jake in the Heartland Edited by: JakeHolman on Jan 2, 2012 12:52 PM

Hi Wendy, The Rascals and Dylan. Great music to start the New Year and that Drake fella is good, very good. I must admit I don't recall him at all. Play him some more. Good stuff. You have a great 2012 that's with good health and prosperous for you and your family. Jake

Personally, Dr. Zhivago and Lawrence of Arabia I find are movies far above the average fare. -

In the year Eighteen Hundred and Seven, a small ship of the Royal Navy set sail from England for a secret destination. With five million French and Spanish soldiers poised on the Continent under Napolean, nothing could save England from invasion except her 300 ships. HMS Lydia was soon far beyond battle-charged Europe. Under the most secret of sealed orders, she sailed for southern waters, fought her way around the Horn... headed north again into the Pacific. For seven months, she stayed out of sight of land. Becalmed finally, her weary crew toiled at the oars in the vain hope of towing her into a wind. They thirsted and hungered and wondered where she was going, what they would do when they got there... if she got there. These were things known only to one man. > "Gorillas in the Mist: The Story of Dian Fossey" (1988). This movie told the story of a brave woman whos actions help in the efforts to stop the poaching of gorillas. Terrible shame this is still a problem today. The gorillas are real ture life charactors in every sense and better than fictional films that doesn't portray primates in the best light. Ham, that is a terrific film. Her relationship and bonding with the Head Silver-Backed Male named Digit is very memorable. In my top fifty movies... Jake in the Heartland -

Sgt. Barnes: Are you smoking this chit so's to escape from reality? Me, I don't need this chit. I am reality. There's the way it ought to be, and there's the way it is. Elias was full of chit. Elias was a crusader. Now, I got no fight with any man who does what he's told. But when he don't, the machine breaks down. And when the machine breaks down, we break down. And I ain't gonna allow that in any of you. Not one. Platoon Jake in the Heartland

Hi Wendy, I like that better. That's you. I really like that picture of Elvis for the Holidays. Elvis had his flaws but he never forgot his roots. I've had a wonderful Christmas with friends and family. Hope your experience has been the same. Watching A Christmas Carol again also is therapeutic. Dickens was truly deep in his insight to human motives. I'm glad I watched it. Here's one of my favorite Yes songs. I hope you like it and have a great 2012 with family and all. Jake

Marcus Aurelius: You have proven your valor once again, Maximus. Let us hope for the last time. Maximus: There is no one left to fight, sire. Marcus Aurelius: There is always someone left to fight. How can I reward Rome's greatest general? Maximus: Let me go home. Marcus Aurelius: Ah, home. Gladiator Jake in the Heartland
