Lordy, JF, I had forgotten all about Lobo. Good song. Your pick for the Monkees is original, too. Not the usual Top 40 fare. Last Train to Clarksville I really like. Here's another soft rock song I like from the Litlle River Band --keepin' the theme goin'... P.S. MM1957, I don't pretend to know a lot about Bread but I did wear out an 8 track with them on it in the 70's and keep posting here if you like even if you are a Yank and I'm a Reb...

Mr. Mongo, Thanks for the pics of Gable and the hound. Looks like he might have some Blue Tick in him. My father gave me my first dog which was a Pointer. Loved that dog. Southern Boys would love that dog Gable is with. With the right discipline and trainin', he could hunt... Gable was a man's man who liked to hunt and fish... Jake

Hi JF, Glad to see you drop in. I hope all is well and you are always welcomed here. You know, JF, I own the cd Pet Sounds and, I must be frank, it does not float my boat like others. It's good but just ok for me. There are some songs and spots I like but it would not make my top ten albums. Also, I did not give the lead singer in God Only Knows much thought and it was not Brian as you point out. Both are very good but I guess Brian made the right call. The album is supposed to be one of the greatest of all time. So I guess I lack musical taste. Here's one song I do like and I wish you only the best. *As for Rhett he didn't fight at all and sold guns just to make money* Not true... When is the last time you saw the movie? He joins the The Confederates in a last stand against Yankees in the Atlanta campaign... Jake in the Heartland -

Just another move by the State of Ca. to ensure more business moves out of its State and goes to more welcoming environments... I read the other day parts of Southern Ca. want to Secede from the State and form their new State. Jake in the Heartland

You're welcome MW. Canadians do know how to rock. I've seen Rush live and, contrary to what some might write or say, they are excellent musicians and the concert I went to was one of the best live shows I've ever seen. They certainly belong in the R&R Hall of Fame but there seems to be a prejudice against Prog Bands like them, Yes and the Moody Blues. Rush belongs in the Hall. Jake in the Heartland

Wrapping up my Canadian theme with Canada's best... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BEgXe-gQxX4 Jake in the Heartland Rush has sold more than 40 million records worldwide and garnered untold legions of devoted and admiring fans. According to the RIAA, Rush's sales statistics place RUSH third after The Beatles and The Rolling Stones for the most consecutive gold or platinum studio albums by a rock band. I'm one of those fans...
