The shorter PG version has been used for the MGM/UA video and DVD and for all TCM, MGM HD, and Encore Westerns broadcasts of it. The most recent comment on the film on IMDb discusses some of what's missing from the home-video/TV version: > > http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0067333/usercomments?filter=chrono > > Other comments on IMDb and Amazon also refer to the uncut version. > > Another Michael Winner film, CHATO'S LAND, also appears on DVD in its PG version, and that version aired on Encore Westerns for a while. But Encore unearthed the R-rated version over a year ago, so maybe an uncut LAWMAN will turn up soon. I saw Lawman for the first time on DVD about a year ago from Netflix. I was attempting to watch some Westerns I call under-the-radar Westerns. At first, I thought the movie was a little off for a Western but, as time went on, I really got into it and really enjoyed the movie. Burt Lancaster, Robert Ryan and Lee J Cobb are very good in their parts. Burt is terrific in his bad **** role. The scenery is terrific, the pacing and action good and the plot and sub-plots work for me. I have read it is one of those thinking man's Western. I put it in my Top 25 Westerns list. I liked and would love to see it again on TCM. Merry Christmas

The Beatles are the undisputed kings of the British Invasion in the sixties but the DC5 band was a very, very big phenomenon. I loved the band for its simple, hard-driving rock and roll. They were recently inducted into the R&R Hall of Fame--long overdue... 22. > {quote:title=CapMatifou wrote:}{quote} > I was having a great time checking the hundreds of suggestions viewers are posting for scheduling a movie on TCM. One thing I noticed is that many of these titles people are suggesting are in fact regular movies TCM features in their monthly schedules. One example is *"Key Largo"*. This movie is scheduled on TCM at least once every three months (if not more often). In my opinion, people should only suggest movies TCM has never shown or movies that have not been shown for many years, such as the one I suggested yesterday: *"The War Lord"* (1965), with Charlton Heston. In doing so, it would greatly reduce the list of suggested movies and keep the list much shorter and display only movies that TCM has never shown or, again, has not shown for a number of years. In other words, what is the point of suggesting a movie that you know very well will be shown on TCM sooner or later, such as *"Casablanca"*, *"Citizen Kane"* or *"Double Indemnity"* ? > > Edited by: CapMatifou on Dec 5, 2010 3:57 PM > > Edited by: CapMatifou on Dec 5, 2010 6:14 PM *In my opinion, people should only suggest movies TCM has never shown or movies that have not been shown for many years, such as the one I suggested yesterday: "The War Lord" (1965), with Charlton Heston.* Ditto...Ditto...Ditto...
