>What I always find funny is how there are a lot of people who say it's horrible to criticize Fonda's movies because of her politics, but have no problem criticizing Ronald Reagan's movies because of his politics. (And vice versa, of course.)
>Note that I'm not implying Reagan was as good an actor as Fonda; it's just that he's the one actor who gets sneering criticism for being a "B"-movie actor. A lot of other fine actors made some pretty crappy B-movies; see Lee Tracy in Millionaires in Prison for an example. But they don't get the criticism Reagan does.

*Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.*

>*What ever your political point of view the sad truth is that tv news show have become another part of show business. Keith Olberman and Bill O'reilly are both interested in getting big ratings.*
Isn't Capitalism Great! Diversity and Choices?
The last I looked, O'Reilly was beating Olbermann by a wide margin in the TV ratings. It's laughable and, no one, that's no one, is forcing the viewer to watch his show.
Of course, Keith Olbermann does have the consolation to dole out his Worst Person in the World to O'Reilly on a regular basis but his ratings remain in the dumps or near the bottom...

Well, there are other interpretations that the best thing that ever happened to America's news is the advent of Fox news, cable news, inter-net outlets and talk radio to counter the biased, liberal media that comprise NBC, ABC and CBS news...
By the way, Bill O'Reilly has a Masters Degree from Harvard University...

Those are very, very good ones, JF.
I hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas and may God bless you and them for the coming year.
Can't tell ya who sang the song The Blizzard--not yet anyway.
To stay with the sixties and the British theme: here are two I really like from Peter and Gordon...

Imo, in some ways, the early stuff from the Beatles might have been their very best...
Also, how would you like to go through life being the one who was booted out of the band called The Beatles...Pete Best...life can be very cruel...

>Hey Jake, thanks for providing this space for sharing our favorite tunes. Especially this week, when we can share Christmas music that may be a part of our lives, past or present. I'm going a little overboard today with three of my faves. I love choirs and beautiful melodies, if you can't tell.
Good morning cinemafan,
You are welcome and it is I who should thank you for your beautiful Christmas posts.
The Christmas celebration is only once a year and I feel it is appropriate to honor The Christ and celebrate the Christmas Holidays.
May God bless you and your family and may you have a great 2010.
