Cinemaven, Cary Grant is the bad guy in this?? How do u see that? I mean he plays a spy..who is in love with Ingrid Bergman and in the END he saves her...and he loves her..i just dont see how hes a bad guy here or mean?? AvaG

johnbabe, i HIGHLY disagrere with u..this is a GREAT movie form a-z...and HOW can u call it overrated...OMG....not...its one of Hitchcocks best and they were just fabulous together..actaully it was there first movie together..i just dont know how u can be a tcm fan and a classic movie fan and call thsi movie overplayed and overrated..mind boggling... to each his own AvaG

DTs, though very nice your comments on Ben..i dont hold anything against him but him....And to say JUST because he is related in some way to someonne in the industry does NOT mean for sure he has more knowledge then the next person thats just silly..there are plenty od ppl who are family related to someone in the industry and honestly most of those ppl have NO talent (like Ben) and they RIDE on Just that, they are related to someone who was someone in the industry as Ben clearly is doing....i mean i know im not alone here...this guy has NO business being a host of any kind,,,he has NO personality i mean watching him is like watching paint dry.....lol.... Hi ya MissGoddess, hamradio and i were just going over this and i believe that this year it is Citizen Cane that was voted best movie at least on TCMs poll....i thought it was GWTW to and it was but not this year....and we were talking about how silly it is they keep changing it every year...UGH..anyway just thought id let u know... hamradio, I totally agree with that....but it has to change if they take votes every year right? I mean its bound to change but at least for the last few years they have stayed basiclly with the same top 3 movies..just changed ranking...lol.. AvaG

hi ya annagram, i do agree that she was very beautiful i will not say THE most beautiful..but surely in the top 5 or 6...saying that i ADORE liz taylor....yes she was lovliest i thought in A Place In The Sun..of course she was still a girl then....but her acting and i thought as a woman in her PRIME..no dought had to be for me... A Cat On A Hot Tin Roof.....omgosh..She was GORGOUES...and what GREAT acting...of course there are other movies she may have acted in as well or maybe better...but i prefer to look at her in her prime at her best, as i do all the leading ladies then..... Kim, I to not to long ago did the same thing haveing to oplogise for saying things on here i wouldnt have said because of others.....and i felt TERRIBLE so terrible about it i had to opologise as well because my love fopr TCM is so great.....so i know exactly how u feel..though i dont recall seeing u post negative things on here, i must say i dont feel really we should ever have to oplogise for something we didnt like or see on TCM..that is what the message board is for..in my opinion and we never should be sorry ..UNLESS...we offend someone else on here...truly offend or badger someone...but i find your thread very endearing and i understand...just wanted to let u know how i felt ty AvaG :-)

Hey all, Do u ever notice how the host on the weekend seems to have like the worst tidbits about the actors before the movie (just trash) and Mr.Osbourne though he has tidbits there never trashing the actor or whomever....class how it should before introducing a movie....case in point today...Paris Always Sizzles...he talked about how William Holden was always drunk and the director couldnt shoot...he just took a look at him and new he wouldnt get anything that day so he didnt shoot.......Now is that really necessary BEFORE showing the movie? What a way to present a novie...there ya go folks now enjoy the movie...just classless... i guess TCM sees something? Oh thats right his uncle is Joe Mankewitz..i forgot..thats what they see in him....hmmmm hollywood...lol.......One more thing does this guy ever smile..i mean hes soooooooo condesending...UGH! TripleHHH, i didnt read this thread before your other thread about Joan Crawfords movie Trog???Didnt even know that was her movie...but i didnt follow Joan Crawford like that....AND i got pulled away by the movie i was watching Thelma Todd...Anyway...my answer probably is the same though....lol.. Neither...from what i know of Trog on the TCM special they did on her around her bday i heard it that movie bombed....anway aagin my bad. hope u understand why i answered that way...but i was just playin anyway i could never be annoyed by u TripleHHH... :-) ty AvaG

Cinesage, im sure aloot of movies are avaliable to TCM...doesnt mean they stick to format..im just saying for TCM i dont think this movie should be on.... AvaG

TripleHHH, didnt think i would ever hear u type such a silly thread....the answer is obvious...WHY would anyone who watches TCM movie classics ever want to see either one of those movies aired on this channel??? We come here to watch the OLD classics...not garbage....im shocked! Never thought i would hear those movies come out of u?? There was a long discussion about this not to long back...i believe that even Kim got involved reassuring us that TCM swore to stay on the same format they always havea nd would not change to like AMC did....now i wouldnt have minded if u just asked the question which movie do u like better?
