thanks so much for the kind reply....yes im very passionate about my Ava..lol.but as u can see im not blinded..i see other beauty as well..lol...but as Humphrey Bogart said so beautifully in Barefoot Contessa....(not word for word) shame on me..lol...anyway...he says u can search the world for another pretty face..youll find it..but youll never find another maria..not like maria (Ava)..
at any rate...i do think GeneTeireny is Very pretty but Gene to me, was a whole different beauty from Ava..She to me was Pretty Very Pretty ..but lacked that that UMPH! lol....not gorgoues..to me..but a soft.in every way..soft spoken..almost holding back..very very pretty just not the same...was that clear...lol....and as far as acting...by far..yes bar NONE...Bette Davis had it in spades..could not touch her...i totally agree!
oh and yes there are 2 movies on this morning of Ava..The Great Sinner..and The Night Of The Aguana..the Great Sinner was very early in Avas career..and The Night Of The Aguana was later in her career...worth checking out..great movies both..Ava to me always shines in her later years and of course when she was a whiper snapper...lol..
But as a Ava a pro...lol...if u REALLY want to see her act and shine..try and check out (ive been requesting this) The Sun Also Rises with Tyrone Power...NO DOUGHT Ava at her best...she will bring tears to your eyes!

Hey All,
just wanted to give u the schedule this morning..my girl..Ava Gardner.....,(2 great movies as well)..."The Great Sinner"...with Gregory Peck 7:45 am and then "The Night of the Aguana" with Richard Burton..after...2 really good movies..if u havent seen either worth checking out...

hope im in the right place..but does anyone know how suggest a movie works? I have suggested a couple and my mom as well and shes wondering how it works? Do they adventually play it and thats how u know they got your suggestion? I mean whats the point of suggesting if u dont know when the answer will be? I know i sound confused but my mom has brought up a good point..
Hope someone knows.

great name btw!...Ray Milland in Lost Weekend..omg..one of the best performances ever!..i dont mind the correction on his name..it was other stuff..but thats ok..its all done silly stuff...i dont deal with silly stuff..anyway..the movies u mentioned from Paul are my favs tooo..and YES i think Ingrid Bergman did the right move in the end in Casablanca by going with Paul instead of Bogie..lol..she did what was good for HER...more women should think like that less with there hearts more with there minds..of course she was tricked in to it..but she still went...just had to share that..lol

love your post..i am a true animal lover as well :-) Recently last month i believe TCM was showing the whole set of movies on RUSTY!!! Which were just GREAT!!! Of course my boy kitty who is 1 year old this month his name is RUSTY to!..and his brothers name is after the great ZORRO!..lol..but truly i loved those movies..cant say i liked Jaws..well the fish anyway..the movie was great! Also when Benji first came out..we had a sorta school trip to the Acadamy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to meet the little man! Ill never forget that pretty cool..so i love him to..

ty for the information..and i have to agree with you..i was thinking the SAME thing...what does this girl know about old movies...lol..funny...soo im a little confused shes the new host for this month..or always now..because Carrie Fisher has been co hosting for longer then a month for sure..anyway..i hope she does good i have NO idea who she is...but i have to say there is something comforting in haveing may i say..a bit older persione..lol..co hosting with Mr.Osbourne..

recently i noticed that the next essentials show coming up does not have Carrie Fisher co-hosting? I dont mind really i was just wondering does anyone know if she has been replaced or its just for this time? Btw..i love Carrie Fisher ...very funny actress..looved her in When Harry Met Sally!

i have to put my say here..i love Robert Osbourne..he is TCM...i hope he stays as long as he can..as far as Ben..i dont like em...hes not right for TCM...i think he only got this job because his uncle is who he is..his whole demeanor bothers me..its very aloof..dead...theres just nothing there,,thank god hes only on the weekend..i dont see him ever taking over for Mr.Osbourne..god i hope not..sorry my opinion...im SURE other ppl agree with me...he has NO personality.,,,just seeems bored with these old movies..he even says it sometimes...i cant remember his exact quotes because i try not to watch him...but something like" This is a very boring or bad movie..but here it is....i mean really ..he just seems soooo bored..

my freind u have said the word..for whatever reason i havent...lol.. to explain Mr.Henreids persona....CLASS....that was him in a nut shell..in every performance he ever did..and what about the one with the lost souls on the boat to nowhere or to heaven..omg!! Ship of Fools..i think was the name?...fantastic..again Class! Mr. Henreid ..no dought a great actor..
