i will check it out..but im sure u all agree that there is a programmer and a president ect..who WILL make the final decisions about What is played and done on TCM..correct..thats where i was going with the ownership of TCM..not the Money men ..the actual nuances of this great channel!!

New Subject..on the west coast(at least) ..lol..marnie is on..lol..what a kookie movie..lol..but i looooove Sean Connery..but honestly i dont think Tippy Hedrin is a good actress at all..she definitly doesnt have that sumethuin i was talkin about in actresses...my opinion..but boy was Sean Connery gorgoues!!

well it could be diffrent ppl..more then one..and i know that alot of big companies own other ones..but U said that they dont own it u said that they have a sister company which would make scense..but you can gaurantee that theres a president who RUNS TCM..ill have to llook up his name for ya..but ya know what i dont really care i was only saying it in the conteext of how movieman was saying it...lol..does that make sense???

Hey all,

 

i had to add (of course)..lol..to this gorgoues stars..though its no secret that Ava Gardner is my fav...there are MANY gorgoues actresses in that era! But when i say gorgoues it has to be MORE then just the outside, which i happen to think Ava has in spades...its in the eyes..the soul..whatever u want to call it...besides Ava...Vivian Leigh had that! Rita Hayworth had that..and as well another actress who wasnt known necessarily for her so called Gorgouesness..but for sure she had it..to me..is the one and only GREATA GARBO.....boy did she have it..

 

soooo..its not to me ALL about the outside..but it doesnt hurt to be gorgoues..as well!...lol

One other thing forgive me but isint this what these forums are for to speak our minds..get it off our chest? Speak out on the genres and eras we love so dearly? To defend them..mostly? Well at any rate i love coming here..i will never stop my free speech to defend or not TCM

on top of some other things i wasnt to keen on what he said including the remark about the movies in the 30s 40s..sheeesh...those movies have a great meaning to this channel and to movie history..they belong here..sorry im passionate about my classics

though i agree with you on some things and i do..no matter how u want to cut it..this IS A OLD movie Classic channel..i mean thats what they play...and as u mentioned there are many other channels ppl can go for that DO play MIB..STAR WARS..ect ect...and us speaking our mind i think matters a little more then u give us crdeit for..or should i say TCM for...and TCM does not necessarily work FOR time warner...u can gaurantee that if they were to change there format the ppls VOICE would be heard and ppl WOULD just stop watching..an d it would matter to TCM im sure of that...

 

So though in the long run sure "they" can do what they want..i think u are underestimating the veiwers and for that matter TCM on the choices that are made here..

 

Soooo i will keep on stateing my opinion on the cahnnel that brings me soo much joy..including those bad as u said movies in the 30s and 40s..see HERE they have there purpose where nowhere else they most likely wouldnt...
