    is this all in response to my faaaaaaav actress Ava???lol ....im a little confused do u think Ava is the most beautiful cinema or u dont???Because in my opinin BEAUTY wise..pleeeeeeeeeeeeease Ava IS the most gorgues ever to grace the screen..besides Vivian Leigh..she was beautiful as well

    these questions are actually for my mom...She has a couple of films in mind knows the actors buy not titles...here goes//First movie..is Robert Mitchum and Deborrah Kerr..set in England World War 2..second Flick is Paul Newman and Ann Blythe..za love story..based on a true story..

    this question is actually from my mom..lol..she has a couple movies in mind knows the actors but not the titles...okie dokie here we go....the first movie is with Robert Mitchum and Deborah Kerr takes place in England World War 2, second filck is Paul Newman and Ann Blythe..a love story..its a true story...ok so there ya have it..all u film buffs if you could help out my mom..much appreciated!

    Same Movie Again

    Yesterday i made a comment on how the only thing i think they could do better is not have the same programing the very next day..well heres a perfect example..and this is in the same day..Monday night im not sure of the name..sex,sin???anyway they are playing iit 2 movies next to each other..sex.sin.something else..one other movie and then the sex,.sin movie aagain ..there can be NO reason to take up another 2 hours programming space on the same movie..4 hours later..they seem to do that often...

     

    So..im here to ask TCM to please take a look at this maybe be more careful..as we all know there are PLENTY of GREAT movies to show..diffrent ones in the same day

     

    P.S. I must say in all fairness if it was a better movie i may n ot mind seeing it again , but as i said in my first post on this subject they only seem to do it with the not so good movies..and with all the GLORIOUS movies out there surley they dont need to do this..

    Forgive me Fred,

     

    I thought we put this to rest? But ok..scinse i was the one to bring it up again,

    but i must disagree with you they should by no means be throwing in movies from the 90s or80s..and god forbid they play men in black that is just wrong..i hate to say it again but AMC does that just fine

    wow..thats great to hear about the programmer u spoke with assuring us of TCM staying the Glorious way it is!!Soooooooooo Nuff said about that! As far as making TCM stronger better the only real thing i can say is maybe as far as programming watching the movies they do play i mean as far as lets say Monday All About Eve..nooo bad Example..i could watch that movie one day and the next..lol..but sometimes they will do that and not with such great movies..;play the exact same program one day to the next..that bothers me..but other then that..i love the commentarys befor ethe movies he does..he always knows then coolest stuff either about the actors the movie..just stuff goin on the norm person wouldnt know..cool trivia..

    OMG....lol...i didnt even realize of course and geeez i sure didnt mean to offen d anyone at all..actually i saw someone request a movie,...a great movie no dought,,Fargo...but its NOT a classic by any means..a GREAT movie just not a classic..and i got a little concerned and posted this thread..but honestly...i KNEW there would be alot of responses.lol....i just never want to offend anyone..and yes i am a newbie..i hope im welcome cause i like it here!!

    thanks for the reply....very nice of you!..I love coming here i have a lot of passion for the old movies i just dont think they are aprreciated enuff by the new generation and should be introduced to them often...i love this venue being able to speak my mind on the topics i love so..

    I have something i have been wanting to say...i understand TCM just got done with Acadamy award winners movies..so they would have movies in the 90.s maybe 2000..but now tthat its over i sure hope..TCM will stay by the old classics and show nothing else....AMC use to show classics only and changed too all movies which left only TCM now.....GOD willing if maybe enuff ppl speak out TCM will not turn into AMC and will stick to the classics meaning the 30s 40s 50s 60s some 70s thats it..no 80s 90s..its just for real classic fans like me this is the ONLY channel we have to truly keep the classics alive..for all u others who want to see 80s movies ect..theres AMC they do that all day...Please TCM dont change or what would be the point of having you here for the truly classics..honestly i couldnt wait for the acadamy pictures to be over,beacue u had to MANY non classic movies there..one more thing i want to add..i mean lets be real if something is shot in the 80s and up how can it truly be a CLASSIC..

     

    i love TCM..and i just had to speak my opinion..

    Wanted to say thanks again TCM for Saturdays lineup...I have to say Bette Davis is the greatest actress of all time..Bar None!! they just dont make em like that anymore..lol. All About Eve a great movie..but Now Voyager,,i think was her best..if not one of them!! I will never get tirred of watching her performances again and again!!

     

    P.S. Now Voyager is comin on soon..i think its monday night

    Hey Moviegal,

     

    no problem..sure hope u enjoyed the films....i know i did!!! Glad to hear someone agree with me about Avas performance in Barefoot..My mom was watching as well and said even she in the scene when Ava was posing for the statue and took of her coat..my mom said her mouth dropped open..quote.like a grecian godeess she looked..amazing!! You should as well check her out in The Sun Also Rises..actually i think as good as she was in Barefoot..she pushed the envelope even more in The Sun..Check it out

    Im sure u all are aware about the schedule..but for those who are not..Check it out fantastic...All About Eve!!!Greaaaaat m ovie..Funny Lady....Great movie..and of course..The one and only at her very best..AVA GARDNER..in Barefoot Contessa!!! My gosh..great Day!! Into the PM..Crimes and Misdemeanors..Greeat movie as well..Check it out!
