  1. Hi! Has a chapter been formed yet? I am a westsider - new to Backlot I like the idea of making the Valley Vietge groups theatre. They already show TCM movies, the venue is clean, comfortable and has accessible parking. it may not have the ambiance of the Capitol or Cedar Lee but it’s location is easily reached no matter what direction you are coming from and it is handicap accessible.
  2. Hi - could the movie about the biggamist be "The remarkable Mr. Pennypacker" starring Clifton Webb? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0053214/ I remember watching this one when i was a kid too.
  3. Thanks - that's not it - But I do like that movie - hmm another governess movie. I believe the one I'm looking for is in color because I remember the color of her dress.
  4. Thanks for helping! The front of the building itself was flat - there were windows and an entrance - but no porches or balconies or anything except maybe 2 ppotted plants on either side of the door. in the scene I remember with the carraige - it looked like a wall with windows in it and a door. I know that's not much to go on .
  5. I last saw this about 30 years ago when I was a kid- All I remember about it is that it is a costume drama (pre or early Victorian) Takes place in Europe - a woman is a governess, servant or companion for I think a royal family - the men are wearing uniforms and the woman wears a copper/gold colored dress in one scene where one of the brothers escorts her to the drawing room. I think it has "Love" in the title. - and the front of the home where they lived was a large flat facade - and they had a carriage. I know it's not much to go on - I 'm beginning to think I Imagined this movie - If anyone remembers seeing this movie I'd appreciate knowing the title.
  6. Hi - I think the movie might be Julia Misbehaves starring Greer Garson and Walter Pigeon (?) Elizabeth Taylor plays her daughter - she was an actress/Circus Performer who left her Daughter and Aristocrat Husband because of pressure from the family and she comes back for the daughter's wedding. Cesar Romero is her self proclaimed "fiance" and he is the circus strongman - he shows up at the mansion with his mother - and of course has to show what he does. Check it out and see if it is the movie you are looking for.
