  1. Can someONE else start. I won't BE able to log on again until tomorrow. Man, I can't type can you tell?
  2. the uninvited. if correct can some else start. I won't br able to log on again until tomorrow. Thank you.
  3. Roddy Mcdowall, Micky Rooney, Liz Taylor (like better as kid than an adult), Matthew Broderick, River Phoenix, Judy Garland, Shelley Fabares, Ron Howard, Drew Barrymore are a few off the top of my head.
  4. I know I'll take some lumps for this, but Robert Redford as a director has not let me down. Of his 6 films I've seen 5 (not The Horse Whisperer) and added them to my collection. I feel he tells a great story.
  5. I love the travel ones or the ones that feature unique and fun things to do or see back when. I always find myself wishing to locate these places and follow up on what has happened to them since the short was made. A "now and then" type thing. I guess that is why I enjoy taking old highways instead of the interstate. You get a chance to see glimpses of the past - some in bad shape - some restored - it's all good ole nostalgia!
  6. As I posted earlier here I checked out the movie "Phone Booth". Well I finally had the chance to watch it and needless to say there was nothing in it that could fit in this tread. What a dumb film IMHO.
  7. I'm not sure if I am supposed to wait for another clue or not so let me know after this guess: How to Steal a Million.
  8. Well went to Disneys "Home on the Range" on Easter. It was not my choice (mom, wife and daughter had the vote and dad and I followed). If you have kids or einjoy Disney films, go see this, you'll be entertained. I was surprised because the previews said to me to wait until it's released on DVD and rent it. It made for a nice family outing
  9. Steven Spielberg, Ron Howard, Rob Reiner, Penny Marshall are a few that I make sure I watch when they put a story on film.
  10. I've learned when the one you love doesn't know the whole story and is upset with you, you let them walk away with the misconception and anger they feel and not force them to hear the truth or reasons for your actions.
  11. Wow Moria, Just how big are Z bras? In the film, how many minions did it take to harness them on?
  12. Carol Burnett and her take off as Charo's mother,
  13. pgm80s: you right on Jingle All The Way, I guess that show what kind of impression it left on me. lol
  14. Does anyone how stella is doing?
  15. That happened to me too! It was so funny. Picture a dog the size of Asta. I enter the dinning room and smack dab in the middle of the table, a beautiful galazed ham butt with my dogs standing over it with a mouth full of meat. He sees me, I see him, were frozen in time starring at each other. The look on his face (the "Oh sh!t" look) was so pricless I couldn't get mad and just burst out laughing. We still chuckle about it everytime we bring it up.
  16. well just found out today this Easter we are going to go see that new Disney film "Range...Something". At least my kid will love it.
  17. Now you did it prof! I have to put my foot down on this one! Arnold can't act!?? Are you nuts! Are your eyes sewn shut? You obviously had seen Christmas in Connecticut. The range of he and Sinbad was amazing! I compare it to anything Tracy and Gable put on film. And by the way he connects with his kid in the end. Just kidding - couldn't help myself. And sorry about the ending prof but I figured this would be one of the films you may never want to see and if you had - you won't again.
  18. I guess I would be in the 30's and 40's era. The majority of films from this time I like the best are romance, romantic comedies, comedies, musicals, and dramadies. It's an escape for me to veiw films like Enchanted Cottage, Bachalor Mother, Arsenic and Old Lace, The Wizard of Oz, and Remember the Night. For 90 minutes I'm back in time - it's great.
  19. Well as far as animated charcters, I really got a kick out of Jeremy the crow in Secret of Nimh
  20. Fred Astaire!!?? For that confession you need to pay some hefty penance. Just kidding (lol) my wife says there is this charm about him that over ride the looks. Hey welcome to the board and chime in more often.
  21. I had forgotten about The Cowboys - I loved this movie as a kid and still do today. Another movie I just saw on the Western Channel - Warlock with Widmark, Fonda, & Quinn. I had forgotten how much I ejoyed this film. Two other films that I would add to my list that are more or less westerns are Man From Snowy River & Quigley Down Under.
  22. Another phone booth (public phone) scene that cracks me up is in Ruthless People. Danny DeVito is there to give Judge Reinhold the ransom. From then on it just gets funny. Especially when Bill Pullman shows up. Between these three and the cops on the roof I always crack-up
  23. I just saw a quirky movie I never heard about. "Lone Star State of Mind" (2002). This movie takes place in some Texas town where the only character that is "normal" is the lead. This just had my wife and I cracking up. It is the type of movie that you'll find funny or stupid - like it or not.
  24. I'm not sure this qualifies but, I always wanted to hang out at the Munsters and Addams Family's homes on TV.
  25. Babe The Pig Asta The animals from Homeward Bound & The Incredible Journey The Bull from The Brave One (major tear jerker) The Pye (spelling) National Velvet Old Yeller more later
